Something about the weather here is killing my energy. I can barely keep my eyes open. Damn rain, making me all sleepy! Time to hit the hay. See you in a few, short hours.

Oh boy...I think this might have been my favorite mailbag installment yet. Great questions about all of my hobbies! I could gush on forever about that stuff. I tried to keep my enthusiasm to a few paragraphs. Thanks to all for sending in the questions and allowing me to share some thoughts!

ZSaberLink: Question: So I've noticed that you happen to pronounce Mario's name in a different way than folks from Nintendo and most others say it. Are you aware of that and is there any reason for it?

Also were you able to go to any of the Zelda Symphonies these past 2 years? If so, what did you think of it? Thanks.

RMC: Ah yes, I am very familiar with the Mario pronunciation issue. We've had it brought up many a time before, thanks to our podcast. For those that don't know, the way I say the name sounds more like 'Marry-O' than 'Mar-eee-o'. It's funny, because I would never pronounce Wario as 'Warry-O'. I guess it's just a Jersey thing! Quite a few people around here say it that way!

As for the Zelda symphonies, this was the perfect time to ask! I actually did a write-up on the site about my trip to see the show last year. We also talked about it in a podcast episode. The best news is, my sister attended this year's show! She'll be putting together an 'End of Day' article on her adventure, which will most likely pop up this week!

Sdsichero: - Outside of videogames, what things from/associated with Japan are you most interested in?

RMC: Well, I have two other very big hobbies that I follow alongside games. Those hobbies also happen to be a big part of Japan!

As you may know, I am a big anime fan. I even had an anime blog for about half a year, but then the normal workload of GoNintendo ended up getting in the way of my upkeep of that blog. I'd love to return to that blog and start things up again. I just simply haven't had the time to watch anime recently! With that said, I'm still a huge fan of anime and am always out to get people to understand why!

My other big hobby is following wrestling. Throughout all my life, I watched wrestling on and off. When I was very young, I used to watch Hulk Hogan and all the 80s superstars wrestle around the world. Then when I was in middle/high school, I got back into watching the WWE. After that, there were a few college years where I didn't watch anymore. Then one day out of nowhere (about 7 years ago), I started watching again.

I think I'm a bigger fan now than I ever was. I really am all about wrestling. Much like anime, I'm always out to explain why I love it so much. We have big wrestling parties at our place for pay-per-view events, and we even have a friend that is trying to become a pro wrestler! We go out and support him at local shows. I find wrestling to be highly entertaining and I really appreciate what goes into becoming a wrestler.

If you didn't know, Japan is huge into wrestling as well! Many wrestlers end up going to Japan to wrestle in their circuits for years to build up their street cred. Then they come back to the states and try to get into WWE, TNA or whatever it might be. With the way Japan is so accepting of anime and wrestling, sometimes I feel like I was born on the wrong side of the pond!
