NGC can exclusively reveal that Twilight Princess will be playable on the forthcoming Revolution using the upcoming console's unique controller. Zelda will actually ‘bring in' the Revolution by launching fairly close to the new system, which is set to be released around November of next year, according to our sources.

That’s from the most recent issue of NGC magazine, and the comments have more then shaken up Zelda fans everywhere. That little paragraph right there will make any Zelda fan quiver with excitement, and cringe in horror.

First, let’s look at the good. Playing Twlight Princess with the Revolution controller will be nothing short of amazing. One would have to guess that the Revolution controller would allow you to actually swing your arm to attack with your sword. On top of that, just think of the possibilities for other weapons such as the hookshot, and bow and arrow. Adjusting Twlight Princess to make it work with the Revolution controller on such a deep level could explain the delay of the game we are experiencing right now. Speaking of delay…

NGC reports that Twilight Princess will “bring in the Revolution by launching fairly close” to the Revolution’s release date. NGC speculates along with IGN that the system is aiming for a November 2006 release date, based on what game developers have leaked to the press. As we all know, we have expected Twlight Princess to ship April, and have expected that for quite some time. Reggie himself spoke recently stating that the game will ship in April. Will Nintendo announce one more delay for the game?

Unfortunately, saying that April is close to November just isn’t true. If NGC’s story is true, then we will almost definitely be seeing another delay in Twilight Princess. Are we willing to wait through another delay? Haven’t we spent enough time waiting, only to have a release date slowly approach us, and then have it ripped out of our grasp? Will gamers be willing to accept another delay so that Twilight Princess can connect with the Revolution controller in such an integrated way? Is NGC’s story 100% true, or do we have a Spong clone on our hands? This story is SURE to start a multi-faceted debate about Twilight Princess, The Revolution, NGC Magazine, and even Nintendo in general.

Are we just days away from Nintendo dropping the axe again? We will have to wait and see…

If anyone has a copy of the latest NGC magazine please email me so that I can ask you some questions about it.
