- on April 14th, pre-book tickets for the movie
- this nets you access to the Pokémon Keldeo
- Keldeo can be downloaded from June 23rd 2012 to August 31st 2012
- available for those with Black, White, Black 2 or White 2
I totally though they were only gonna do the 3 Unobtainable Events for those with BW2 [though, of course, this means nothing for the west regarding those games]!
I hope you can connect the new games to your account then...would assume so, as I looked at my account, and am able to register one copy of Black and one of white to your account. Wonder how that would work, cause I created an account, one for Black and one for white.
For a while I was thinking, "At least it's not Gray. We get some new story". Then I thought, "But we're playing through a whole game for just a few more legendary Pokemon!" Now I'm not sure what to think.
I guess I'll settle back on the idea that it's nice to not be playing through the same game again and be able to get some new story. However, I would like for them to include an option to mass-import your Pokemon from Black and White, because it's getting too cumbersome to trade nearly 650 Pokemon. I don't care if you have to beat the game before you can use it, it's time they made the feature.

I'm still waiting on what else they'll be but new story [not something I've ever played the series for] and 2 formes for Kyurem too [especially since the 3 Unobtainable Events might be accessible to BW players as well - I assumed BW2 would get them solely - if this Keldeo one is of any indication]. It sounds more like DLC level of content atm really.
... Also I'm nearly at 500 pokemon gotten in Black. I'm not buying another game to then slowly drag them over 6 by 6 by 6...
I'm 26 Pokemon short of having 'em all, and I'm not looking forward to moving them over.
Now that I think about it, you never really do get a new story with Pokemon. It's the same thing every time: "Young boy or girl sets out to conquer the Pokemon league by advancing from gym to gym," then they throw in some stupid fluff about N or Team _____ to make it seem new.
I would really like for a Pokemon game that breaks free of the typical gym advancement structure.

What would you suggest instead? That's not a snarky 'You do better' btw, I'm genuinely interested in how people think it could work differently, partly because the already unprecedented direct sequels have the potential to actually shake things up at least a little...
Good question, actually. I thought maybe the gyms could still be there, but be an "if you feel like it" event for the people who still enjoy them. But I'm not sure what you would use to gate the player's advancement.
Typically the games have artificial gates anyway (like a tree you need CUT to get past, or a road that just happens to be closed until you've advanced the plot). It could be that those still exist, but the plot is something different, like assembling a team of trainers or solving a large mystery or tracking a specific, elusive Pokemon.
Or heck, maybe you can go wherever you want, but the enemies are harder in areas you're not meant to visit yet.
This is spur-of-the-moment thought, really. I think Pokemon could go a lot of places if GameFreak decided to let the series evolve.
I don't know about you, but I only ever complete the Pokedex once per generation.
I'll complete the regional dex in all of them, and then go around collecting pieces of the rest of it when I am bored, but I don't strive to complete the Pokedex in every single title. Once per gen is good enough for me. Especially with how many there are now.
I play the extra games to experience all the new stuff in each one, and to make a new team and battle all the new people. For, you know, the actual game. Not just the collection aspect.
And when I do collect 'em all, I try to do as many as I can in that game alone before resorting to sending in bulk.
I'm stoked for these. For the new story, the new Kyurems and the potential for a new region with a different mix up of Pokemon, meaning that my Team will definitely be switched up instead of re-using my Black team.
Assuming that the one with the black background is Black 2 and the one with the white background is White 2, did anyone else notice that the Kyurem form is that of the original game's opposite legendary? N, you got some 'splaining to do!
@WesFX
I actually like the Gen IV legendaries, especially Arceus.
@lotso shoes
Who the HELL are space penis and coffee table?!
*Phew*

I thought these legendaries were as bad as it would get.
I was wrong.
@ WesFX
Eh, I dunno. I think these guys are miles better than Space Penis and Coffee Table.
That said, I...don't really like any of the 'big monsterous' legendary pokemon except for Ho-Oh. I'm more of a regular pokemon kinda guy.
@WesFX
...you better not be saying **** about Dialga.
^ Correction, don't diss Palkia!!
it's wonderfully awesome~ XD

Cool I can't wait for Pokemon Black/White 2

They can continue the story of N and his family, along with the protagonists and the rest of the characters.

@MoldyClay I play for the collecting aspect myself and I've only completed the Pokedex once [back in Gold].
I've just pasted 475 recently...
There won't be a new region [just an extended Unova]. But at least you ain't going 'Hoenn!!' like the rest of the interwebs [morons].
