For some reason I wasn't expecting 3D CG cinematics. I had only seen 2D character portraits until now.

It's obvious now that I think about it. Especially because I knew that the characters were in 3D for battles.

This is what a future Wii U version should look like...

I would really love an original JRPG from Nintendo that wasnt fire emblem (I dont like tatics games) with graphics like this on Wii-U. It's so weird to think those graphics are entirely possible.

There is but one thing that would keep me from supporting this game: DLC.

Wow, that CG is glorious! I would love to see a full feature film using this animation. If Nintendo was capable of creating these types of cinematics for their games, why do so few of them actually have any (that aren't real time?)

@chambertlo Probably because it seems like for internally developed Nintendo titles, that they want to create one cohesive world and that CG cutscenes would inherently detract from that by looking nothing like what the rest of the game looks like.

I agree with that sentiment.

In the next Smash Bros, we're gonna get Pit from Uprising and Marth from Awakening ^^

Also cant' wait for this game.

@thorn-rock

not sure how much pit would change since he basically looks the same. but for marth, yes, that is if this guy really is marth.

also, I'm very confident that krom will be a character too, possibly replacing Ike (I'm gonna miss him....)

I only like CGI cut scenes when they're not blatantly different then the in-game graphics.

Why is that?
