Man that's quite the opening for a soap opera. I would tune in just to see that opening alone. It's really nice to look at.
It is so well-made because soap operas in Brazil are as popular as TV series in the US, so a lot of money is invested in them. Don't be fooled by the opening though, because most of soap operas end up sucking, as writers always resort to surreal situations and include parallel plot lines that are boring or try to be funny.
That's actually a pretty sweet intro. I agree with @Sir Tobbii, some things are similar/very similar, but at most I think it's just inspired.
And if it is, what's so wrong about it? It's not like the soap opera itself resembles the intro, anyway

Wow I LOVE this opening - surely they aren't going to have a boring old soap opera after that. This would really hook my attention, but a soap opera would lose it again just as fast.

It resembles SS a lot, and if it's intentional, that's incredibly awesome.
Either way, that was quite lovely.
Definitely based off Skyward Sword, I don't know how anyone could deny that or not see it (assuming they've played the game)
