Nomura is doing a ton of Kingdom Hearts chatter lately to promote Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. While that game just only came out in Japan, Nomura is already talking about the next entry in the series. According to Nomura, the next title will complete Xehanort’s chapter. Where that title lands remains to be seen.

So, we're finally looking at Kingdom Hearts 3, then? He said it would complete the Xehanort saga...
Maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally come out. I for one, am getting tired of all these side stories being released.
KHIII, finally, then.

lol without the side stories there wouldnt be a KH3 because there would be nothing to fight for. KH2 completed the series but everyone wanted a 3rd. The ending of KH2 left that opening up so in order to create a purpose for character to have something to truly fight for in KH3 you had to show the past of BBS and the future (comes after kh2) of dream drop distance. And I dont mind personally, they have the new worlds and the best gameplay of the series! and now dream drop distance is fighting for possible best story as well.
KH3. FINALLY. OH MY GOSH, YES. <3 Good thing, because I really didn't want a BBS Volume 2.
I love that it sounds like it'll be KH3, but I did want a BBS2 for Vita. But ah well. :>
That would be KH 3 then. Good, i don't want to buy a vita yet just to play KH. Hopefully Nomura would do the smart thing and make it a multiplatform title between the Wii U and ps3
With most of the Kingdom Hearts handheld games on Nintendo's side of things, I have no doubt Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on the Wii"U". (& PS3)
Because of people like you who complained for wanting KH3 now I won't have anymore new KH handheld games to play.

I assume you're talking about 358/2 Days and coded, since there aren't any other "side stories" really.
Like @Mirr0rR3flection says, we're gonna have to hold AT LEAST 2 more years without Kingdom Hearts if that's true. And 2 years is a geniunly moderate estimation; I'd actually be surprised to see KHIII be released before 2015 if it still hasn't started being developed.
So, what could we be waiting for now, then? I assume next year we'll receive HD editions of KH, KHII and perhaps Re:CoM and BbS. If not with KHIII, 2014 could be an empty year...
That raises the question on what platform the series could be lead to. My PS3 has been waiting for Kingdom Hearts for some time now. I hope it will be getting, although as far as KHIII is concerned, I believe it's more realistic to expected for the next-gen systems.

Except they aren't really sidestories.
Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are entirely relevant to what would be KH3. They are main series games.
Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days are relevant to KH2, as well.
If it weren't for these "sidestories", Kingdom Hearts 3 wouldn't make sense and would not happen in the first place.
Or more likely than not, would just be the name of one of these games. BBS or KHDDD could easily have been Kingdom Hearts 3 & 4 or KH0 and KH3.
