Having already bought White, I'm not sure if these games are different enough to warrant another purchase from me. They look great and all, but I was really hoping that we would be getting something for the 3DS. I don't understand why Gamefreak / Pokemon Company are so adamant about not supporting the 3DS? Sure, the DS has the larger install base, but when a new console is released you move on. Don't they realize how much more 3DS units would sell from a main series Pokemon game? I guess they are going to take their time to make the 3DS games amazing. I just hope they finally allow us to walk diagonally.

They've probably had this planned for a while and they don't want to make a game for the 3DS unless they have a proper use for the 3D, instead of it being nothing more than eye candy.

Of course they're different enough. It's not Black & White again, these are new games with new characters, new story set after Black & White. Sure you revisit parts of Unova, but they're different, like how areas of Kanto were enhanced in HeartGold & SoulSilver
The reason it's not on the 3DS is because of compatibility. The Nintendo WFC and Nintendo Network, the online services for DS and 3DS respectively, run off of completely separate servers and are not intercompatible. This would kill all the compatibility between Black & White and Black 2 & White 2 online. As well as that, the 3DS game would just be a port of a DS game's engine with shinier graphics. It's better this way

Do you think that developing a game with the scope of pokemon on 3DS is a short ordeal? No it probably takes several years, all assets have to be remade etc.
Pokemon 3DS is probably in development on Pararellel since the original pokemon black or even earlier.

Not to mention, that if the decide to change the camera angle (follow behind character closer to ground level) development time will probably soar even more
Is the person at 0:32 a boy or a girl? I'm assuming the first but jeez.. Had to second guess myself for a bit.
Looks okayish, but eh, I dunno if I can be bothered to get B/W2.It'd be the 5th pokémon game I'd get for the DS and it's starting to get old. When I finished Black originally I just stopped playing, lost complete interest. I caught all 493 in Pearl but can't really be arsed doing it again.
Only thing that'd make me think about getting this game is if you could visit Hoenn. I prefer the new Pokémon releases on new formats because they change the feel of the game. I would maybe consider a 3DS pokémon game, but it'd depends what it brought to the table. I can see why they went with DS, but overall, lack of interest.

True. Development probably started a long time ago.

I came to that conclusion because all the new Pokemon games are coming out for DS instead of 3DS. (Black 2/ White 2, Pokemon Conquest) Sure, we got Pokemon Rumble Blast, but that is hardly a "main series" game like Black 2/ White 2.

Valid points, but they are going to have to "kill" compatibility between the games eventually. I guess it would make since to wait after Black 2 and White 2 though, you are right.
Looks awesome!! I might get this one, still I want a 3DS version...

Yup... that sure looks like a pokemon game....
I would love to see how you got to that conclusion.

TO me the trailer shows basically only one thing that we should have already kind of knew. Keldeo will be obtainable in it.

@auragar It's just promoting the upcoming Keldeo distribution/movie tie-in, not saying Keldeo will be available in-game.
Video thumbnail has me laughing for some reason, I;m not well and I often get a comedic imagination then so it may just be nothing in particular.
I don't mean to sound like a troll or anything, I'm not bashing the game, but man..... None of this resembles Pokemon to me.
What's happened to my ex-favorite franchise?
True. Development probably started a long time ago.

Emerald was released in 2005. The DS was already out. Just saying...
