RUMOR - Rayman Origins sequel in the works

Last we heard, Rayman Origins had turned a profit for Ubisoft. While we wait for the 3DS version to hit shelves, it seems that Ubisoft might be tackling a sequel.

A bunch of images, including the one above, have supposedly leaked from an online survey. We've seen this sort of thing happen before, most recently with GoldenEye. I'd put my money on this one being true.

I'd be OK with this being true. I still haven't played the first one yet...

After playing and beating Rayman Origins, I'm completely okay with this news.

The art looks... pretty dull and such compared to the first game's... is this really real?

I guess I'll be the first one to admit this. I liked playing Rayman Origins, but I didn't love it like I thought I would.

A sequel wouldn't be a bad idea. I just hope Ubisoft have it release at a better time than they did the last one if true.

Great news, but that picture looks like it might be fake.

Wow! This is great news! The last time I heard/read about the rayman origins sales was that it was pretty low and poor. But that was months ago and according to wikipedia
(copy/paste from link below)
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayman_Origins#section_4

"Despite its critical success Rayman Origins's sales didn't live up to expectations having sold only 50,000 copies in[ 30] ts first month.[ 30] However, Ubisoft revealed that the game has been ts first month However, Ubisoft revealed that the game has been profitable and that they feel it "has the capacity to become a long-term selle[ 31][ 32] for the company."[ 31][ 32] For all consoles, Rayman Origins has sold 1.32 million for the company. For all consoles, Rayman Origins has sold 1.32 million copies"

Holy crap! That's great that the game sold over a million copies. Plus the 3DS version comes out in June so that's going to add more sales as well.

I'm wondering which console/hardware will sell the most Rayman Origins copies after a few years down the road but for now bring on the sequal!

I look forward to a Wii U release, if so, then. :)

The director of Ubisoft Brazil apparently already confirmed RO2. Not sure if I can link it here, but I posted the news on the Steam Forums a while ago.

I bought the original day one and have never had more fun with a platformer not made by Nintendo. Seriously, every gamer should play this once, even if you only like shooters. It's the reason why I am a gamer; it's beautiful, original, and (most of all) entertaining, and there should be more games like this.

Remember when everyone was moaning that the game was a failure because it wasn't Wii exclusive *cough*WiiFolder/BitBlock*cough*.

Yeah...

I need to get this still. Stoked about getting a sequel potentially. I loved the demo. Just don't have time to play it, so I didn't get it yet.

I haven't even finished Rayman: Origins yet, and I'm already ready to buy a sequel.

Really hope this is true. Rayman Origins is fantastic! I thought it had terrible sales, though, so I'm not quick to believe this...
