Once again, this information comes from the recent 'Ask Capcom' community event. It covers some details we didn't hear last time.
- still pushing for it
- talks with Capcom Japan continue
- talks have been "encouraging" and "optimistic"
- a decision won't be in the near future
- DS release is still not in the cards

Put it on DSiware/Wiiware/e-shop.
If it keeps taking much longer, it'll be too late to localize it, the DS is on the way out as it is.
I kinda refuse to see why a DS release is not in the cards. We have Adventure Time and 2 Pokemon games, games people actually want. It's not like Ace Attorney is a new franchise. If Pokemon can chuck another entry onto the DS, there's no excuse for Capcom not to. I'd much rather a hard copy than downloading it from the eShop, considering how money grubbing Capcom is when it comes to digital shopping.
Really hope it happens, whatever way they can. eShop is the most logical choice as far as I can tell.
Just f*ck you, Capcom. How the hell can we get 3-year old Inazuma Eleven 2 on the very same DS, but not this? I'm not saying IE2 is bad, just that... I don't even know what I'm saying.
Just... just f*ck you, Capcom.
Want to play it? Then support Operation Objection!
If it goes to iOS, we riot.
@DeMatador
... Why? Because they're trying to bring it over? Or is it because they're probably not going to bring it to a system that, like it or not, is on its last legs? You can bring the example of Nintendo still doing Pokemon all you like, it doesn't change the fact that, while Pokemon will probably sell millions, Ace Attorney doesn't have quite the same pull and will probably sell abysmally on the system.
Seems to me more like you're set on hating on Capcom no matter what they do unless they fulfill your one-sided demands.
I admit I'm intrigued, but I'm also casually pessimistic. I have little hope that Capcom will do much to turn around its recent abysmal track record about, well, everything, so even if it does come out I wouldn't be surprised if, for example, it was a download title where we download each case separately.
Alright, we all want this game to come here but why are we getting no news on Layton/PW?
That game doesn't even have a Japanese release date, and since it's being made by Level-5 it would make sense to assume that it will take as long to localize as Professor Layton games do (one to two years). It'll be a while yet before we get it, but I don't think anyone should be worried about that one. Level-5 brings all the Layton games here and they do quite well.
