Walmart drops price of DSi XL

Looks like you can score a DSi XL for a pretty sweet price at Walmart. I don't know who wants want now, but I'm sure it makes sense for someone! Thanks to UthMonster for the heads up!

Well, it IS the only handheld with a huge display at the moment.

Yes!

I was waiting for the DS line to drop in price, still don't have an XL for the collection.

I"m also waiting for a DS Lite price drop. My Crimson Red has a loose, floppy top screen.

I'd get an XL if I had money to burn. As far as I'm concerned, it's the way to experience DS games.

I love the XL. Whenever I decide I want to play a DS game, it's THE system I always go back to.

I think I'll wait for the 3DS XL instead. :p

I'd love to get one but I'd love a 3dsxl even more.

I got a Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary DSi XL almost since it launched (and yes, I was well aware of the 3DS launch), and I don't regret my choice, would be cool if Walmart had some of those for this price.

Makes sense for people who want the best way to play DS games, period.

How many billions of copies of Monster 4x4 did Walmart buy? My local one had hundreds of copies 5 years ago... and still has them!

Monster 4x4 is gonna take off any day now and Wal-Mart will have a gold-mine on their hands!

Is Nintendo really being intentionally quiet about this? I think this would have been announced somewhere. I took this pic and if you see the top left the sticker looks like someone started to peel it off, but then just gave up. It made me wonder if some incompetent Wal-mart employee put it up before they were supposed to (then later realized it and made a half-hearted attempt to correct the mistake). You can't see it in the pic, but all their yellow price tags still said $169. Weird.

It was in the Wal-Mart ad in my Sunday paper.

So this is TRUE.

The question is whether or not this will make any difference.

This is a great deal, and I would consider getting one, but my 3DS plays DS games alright, and money's tight right now.

On a side note, it is strange that they're discounting the XL to $129, while still selling the DSi for $149.

When the sale went into effect, some guy came in and bought every single DSi XL we had in stock. We are completely sold out.
