- Keldeo is #298 in the BW2 Pokedex
- Sewaddle, Growlithe, Sunkern, Koffing, Magby and Magnemite can all be encountered
- they can be caught in the wild early on in the game

That's not an uncommon observation, but Keldeo predates the whole MLP thing. I read that My Little Pony started airing a month after BW came out in Japan.

I think his design is actually intended to be more of an homage to Unico, if anything.

And ocre is right, BW pre-dates that show anyway.

Black and White came out in September 2010 and took about 4 years to develop. I seriously doubt they knew about MLP.

Except they didn't have constantly animated character sprites and an active camera. They do play with the formula believe it or not.
