This has been in the works since 2007. I'm not sure how Nintendo hasn't already squashed this one! The real shame would be seeing all this hard work go to waste.

That is a massive undertaking....but I think I'll just stick to the official releases for Pokemon.
Oh thank goodness! For a minute there, I thought there might not have been enough Pokemon ROM hacks to go around already!
I'm okay with all of these comments.
It's always when a fan project gets pre-release hype / exposure that X company notices it really.
I could understand the need / want for an endeavor like this if HeartGold & SoulSilver didn't already exist. The games Nintendo have made no doubt far surpass this one.
Don't see why they don't remake Crystal and Yellow.
HeartGold and SoulSilver have most of Crystal's elements and subplots included anyway, effectively making a Crystal remake pointless.
