Man, Monday night into Tuesday morning is a rainy mess. Just hearing the rain puts me in a sleepy mood. We needed the rain around here, so at least it's good in that way. I hope you guys are all cozy and warm, wherever you are. See you in a few, short hours!
I think I'll stick with Mondays as the day where I post up GoNintendo Nightly as the End of Day thought. Seems like a good way to kick off the week. Get it out there right off the bat!
For Monday we take a look at third party content, a cancelled game, some Metroid action and the story you guys talked about the most!

No purple 3DS news, RMC? Really~? Like, really really?
For shame. /smh

Great episode! Can we get an ending of you dancing to "Do the Mario". Pretty please!
Ah, gotta love the ending. I watched that a lot when I was younger. Makes me sad to see now, though... the show was terrible. But that is exactly what was so wonderfull about it~<3
Anyways, great show as usual, RMC. I still don't understand how you manages to do everything you do. Maybe it's Beard Power..?~
I apologise profusely for the opening guys...if I'd known it was gonna get shown, I'd have spent more than five minutes on it! The slightly less sucky version is well underway though!
You're art is bad and you should feel bad!
In a way, I love 'sucky' versions more. It makes them funnier to watch. ^^ But, I can't wait to see the New version either. Gambatte~
Or is it Ganbatte? Hmm...
Something to know about concept art, specifically, that Metroid picture you keep sharing:
Concept artists often have a phase near the beginning where they're spitballing--just throwing stuff out there, drawing up their craziest ideas and seeing what sticks. Seeing a few pictures like the "twisted Samus" picture does not mean that a game of that style was in development. We didn't necessarily miss out on a cartoony Metroid.
That is true, actually. And to me, it looked more like some virus-ish thing made itself into a strange monster-copy of Samus. ^^ And that would be awesome, too~
@Koopzilla
I third this.
@Hawk
I'd also like to point out that the art wasn't really cartoony. The Space Pirates that accompanied it were, but the Samus picture was more or less what looked like something insane happening to her.
She was transforming into something nuts and looked like some acid trip that Lucas would see. I almost want to say she was turning into a tentacle monster.
I imagine "cartoony" was a style they came up with and they probably did a bunch of "surreal" stuff like that. But you're right, it doesn't really mean that it was something intended to be a game.
@MasterofMonster
I didn't even think of that. Something like SA-X from Metroid Fusion. In fact, that'd be the perfect comparison, since the X-parasites are all warbly like that.
@Modlyclay
Glad you agree. ^^ I thought of that immediately, since, as you said, it's 'warbly' and so~ ^^
