"They immediately told us a couple of things. The first was that the quality of the game was one of their top priorities, and the second was that they knew they wanted it to be a unique standalone experience, rather than just a port of the console version of the game. At that point, everything moved very quickly. I met early on with industry legend Warren Spector to discuss working together and things went really well - so much so that we arrived at an agreement quickly, and the rest has been history." - DreamRift's co-founder Peter Ong
I am super excited for Epic Mickey 2. With that said, I am just slightly more excited for Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion. Let's hope both games really give us something to sing about!

I can remember when Castle of Illusion set a new benchmark for quality video game animation. It was also - gameplay-wise - a great game for it's day.
Needless to say, I'm uber-excited for Power of Illusion.
From what I've seen of Epic Mickey 2 it looks like yet another sub-standard platformer no better or worse than the first game that played like a dated N64 platformer. However everyone seems to want Power of Illusion more! That's got to say something about those 16 bit platformers compared to 32/64 bit platformers.
It's probably going to be the best version. I'm exited
I just want everyone to really be careful. Don't expect too much, or prepare yourself for a huge disappointment. Castle of Illusion is easy one of the best, if not the best, non Sonic plateformer on the Genesis.
Soo - do publishers sometimes tell developers that quality ISN'T a big priority?
That could explain a lot.
Wow. Disney actually wanting quality again...
