Mario and Sonic...Their best selling game? :/ So mario does sell games, that's nice to know. Also, Sonic generations didn't seem to sell amazingly well. Sonic colors on DS/Wii sold about 2.5 million. Maybe SEGA should have put it on Wii?
Sega has been making some foolish decisions regarding Wii support. Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing Wii was the highest selling sku of the game, but they've chosen not to support the Wii........
Nice to see Sonic Generations did good... near 2 million is nothing to laugh at.
Mario and Sonic beating it twofold is laughable though... its making SEGA money though, and in the end thats all that matters. SEGA needs to live
@xxbrothawizxx: About SSASR: SEGA's not going to put money into downporting a game onto a dead system. Same goes for all of the other PS360 games. There will be a Wii U version of the sequel undoubtedly, so theres no need to worry about a Nintendo version of the sequel. (Cant wait for it lol)
That's really sad to see Sonic Generations just sell over a million units off of all 4 platforms. If the game also made it to Wii, SEGA probably would have made a bit more of a profit. I wouldn't have minded seeing a little less graphics compared to the 360, PS3,and PC versions. They did it for Unleashed and why not Wii this time? I do not understand sometimes...
I mean Sonic Colors that was only Wii/DS was able to sell over 2 million copies!
Its a shame that with all it's hype and what not Generations hasn't gone on to sell more copies. Not doing a Wii version was a pretty boneheaded move on their part. Graphics be damned, it would've sold copies and made them extra money. Sega should really consider releasing it on the Wii U's eShop.
Sonic Generations was just boring. After the novelty runs off, you realize that the game is jsut way too short and too easy to be worth playing again. Even the remix of the Colors level is bad. For everything the day stages in Unleashed and all of Colors did right, Generations seems to try and do that stuff but in less exciting ways. Also not a fan of them bringing back the nearly unlimited speed boost in the console games. Colors had the perfect balance and you rarely had a full boost meter.
I don't think Sonic Generations 1.85 million units sold across 4 platforms in Japan, US, and Europe combined is too good at all. I think a Wii version probably would have been the best selling, strange that they didn't make one. I have the 3DS version, it was pretty fun, but very short. The Colors level was absolutely horrible, but the rest of the levels are pretty fun, especially the first 3 levels and the water palace.
Releasing Rhythm Thief in the US on time could have helped.
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games their best-selling title? Mario sells, indeed, but too bad they have/it has Sega quality instead of Nintendo's.
mario and sonic london 2012 on the wii and 3DS has sold more copies than the vast majority of sega titles on the PS3, 360. what does that tell you?
that tells you sega are pretty stupid and naive to focus more on the vita and less on the 3DS and other nintendo consoles.
