I don't know if HipHopGamer knows his stuff or not, but he has definitely gotten some information spot-on in the past. With that said, it seems like he knows that the next Splinter Cell is going to come to Wii U.

just so we're clear that guy who was on here as the "hiphopgamer" wasnt actually him I dont think. The real guy has his own site to run, interviews to conduct etc. And I honestly cant see him legitametly taking time off of his schedule to comedown here and troll us peasent folk. The guy with the user name masquerading as hiphopgamer was probably doing so in a trollish satirical sense as yes the REAL hiphopgamer on more then one occasion has been known to heavily favor sony over the two other console makers. But to each their own in the end. Just glad the troll on here pretending to be him finally got the boot.
I couldn't take it. Watching it.... I felt like I was losing brain cells every second.
@NeverUnplayingIronic coming from a brony avatar, Joking please don't get angry. Happy Mothers Day.
@NeverUnplaying
Come on, he is actually a very charismatic guy (even if his grammar isn't as good as we want, but he speaks like a hardcore rapper).
I don't know why people hate HHG. I know he is full of sh** sometimes but he was the first to announce the PS3 Slim, Smash Bros (sony version) and some other news.
He probably has some friends in the industry, nothing more.
I'm sorry, I have to agree, I couldn't stand watching it, the guy overdoes it.
No good journalist would interview another journalist with "what ifs" on about how he was pissed Conviction wasn't on PS3 and trying to sell him on it "there's 30 million PS3's out there" blah blah... I believe Geoff Keighley took the two and two together 5-6 years ago when Conviction was announced and 2 years ago when it released. He was whining about it, and I doubt he'd EVER go the other way saying why something like Tales of Graces F didn't hit Xbox 360. One of the first rules of journalism is to be unbiased.
Keep spinning the WWE championship belt Geoff, because I want the escape too.
@NeverUnplaying
The problem is: He isn't really a journalist, he is just a guy who has a lot of courage and is always trying to dig some news with the developers. He is just an adventurer.
He isn't biased like people think but yes, he needs to learn some things about journalism and ethics.
I still think he is a charismatic and (sometimes) funny guy. I have nothing against HHG and sometimes he is even right (like I said before, he was the first in the world to announce the PS3 slim and people said "this guy is crazy, can't he just shut up?" at N4G, it's always this way) but I know sometimes he is full of shi*.
That's actually hilarious.
@Broken_Cartridge
Do you actually watch the shows? Sometimes he talks about Wii games acting as an excited 10 years kid. I do think he is a Sony fanboy but I don't think he is biased.
Love HipHopGamer!
He's always excited about something
He's just as credible as anyone else, letting the Hip Hop in him hang out like crack heads in an empty building!
Ubisoft is the strongest supporter of Nintendo amongst the 3rd party publishers, they have a great relationship with Nintendo and I can easily see all of their multi-platform titles head to the Wii U as long as the user base is there and the Wii U can run the game.
While quality of games haven't always been amazingly strong they have given the Wii a lot of exclusive titles, I can't think of any games they ONLY released on 360 or PS3. Closest is maybe that poor PSP Assassins Creed title.
I don't know if I want to waste my time watching this if its from that banned TROLL @HipHopGamer.
(*Think I'll just read all your comments which is much more worth while than some rumor.
Yes there was a member named that. He was banned by @Cort.
to clarify that was actually a troll that named himself hip hop gamer
not the real deal
So I guess its OK to watch then. ^_^
well i noticed in his vigil darksiders 2 interview he seemed enthusiastic about the Wii u and he said its for the hardcore
crowed , and he has some industry friends but he posts bull shovel rumors time to time to sooo
take it with a grin of salt.
Imo when Ubi finds a way to port a game over for the WiiU launch window they'll defintely will do so. So defintely it could happen!
The way he was talking about some of those things made it pretty obvious that he had actually gotten to play Splinter Cell on the Wii U and he was doing a really bad job of hiding it. He even slipped up somewhere in the middle and said "being able to solve puzzles like that was pretty interesting as well." Check around 8:50. Definitely sounds like he got some hands-on time with the game. I would not be one bit surprised if everything he's saying is true.
Unfortunate, I fins most Ubisoft titles are quite terrible. Not that Activision, Capcom, or even EA are any better.... it seems like all the big 3rd party developwrs have gonw down the toilet this gen. At least I had fun with ID and WB interactive for the time being...
Lucky for us Wii only owners. ON a brghter note Capcom did give us some good Wii games, and also missed a few opportunities. I think the on;y Ubisoft games i have have are No More Heroes, and Red Steel 2. Capsom gave me more enjoyment this gen, minus Nintendo of course...
Look, I understand that the whole hip hop world is a subculture, which means that calling it lame is like crashing a potlatch and saying "Pff! What a bunch of virgins!" But somehow, combining the tropes of hip hop with the inherent nerdiness of gaming, you get a really lame whole. I guess I should look at the information and not the source.
I can see it happening, and while I don't know the size of Ubisoft as a studios, I think they may be stretching themselves out a bit thin. Assassin's Creed 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Ghost Recon: Online, Rayman Legends. I think that if this hypothetical Splinter Cell exists, it may take quite a while for it to come.
That said, did anybody torture themselves long enough to notice his cheeky hint about the protagonist? "Or whichever character you may encounter in the next Splinter Cell" (Paraphrasing.)
Yeah, I have no doubt he has some knowledge about the next Splinter Cell from some friend that he has in the industry or from seeing it himself. This is about the time when the media are invited by devs to see and try what will be shown at E3. My guess is this is real, a lot of people know about it, and this guy is the only one who's talking about it before he's supposed to.
He's so awkward...
When he slyly hinted that we may not be playing as Sam Fisher in the next Splinter Cell, I couldn't think of any other character that could possibly take the place, aside from other anonymous agents. I hope we get to play as Rayman.
This is an insult to hip-hop culture.
Ah feel yuu dawg.
So... nothing out of the ordinary happened here. He pretty much described a similar experience to what's been said that Batman: Arkham City will be doing. Moving on.
