Retro, Massive? Maybe a Pokemon online game to show off Nintendo Network???? (sigh....A boy can dream)
@Chosenoneknuckles
The wiis classic controller is not wireless.
I hope the redesigned classic controller is legit! (and rumble supported)!
@motherbra1n Fair enough, I should've looked at one before replying [I don't have any need for one].
Still. Wireless is in in all corners of life now.
@deuxhero
You mean the Stadum / XD title for the BW era I presume [not the MMO which will never happen]?
Have a horrible feeling that one may be a last Wii title this year actually...
Glad the article also said the Nintendo-branded HDMI cables might not make it to retail. That would've been a massive rip-off! Hope the new classic controller has rumble... would be even better if it weren't tethered to the Wii Remote if that means even more than 5 players. And I hope Retro isn't doing Star Fox or an established IP. They should be rewarded with their own, original IP for all their hard work.
Yep. All the other gens have had one by now.
i hope all of those are true even the one i'm indifferent to . One thing though about the hdmi cable , most people won't know how to hook up but thanks to the wii u subscreen they could show a video about it....
Indeed. Plus with BW2 out by Fall everywhere, what better time to strike whilst interest is high again?
Hope it's not a last Wii game [alia BW2 being on the DS, not the 3DS], whoever is doing it...
it's a cable. you plug it in. hdmi is even easier than cables have been previously. there is only one thing to plug in and unless they put in a proprietary video out port, it's the same on both ends.
anyone who doesn't get that, doesn't need a 300$ video game system.
- Retro's project will be shown at E3 2012 and is 'massive'
Please don't let it be an MMO
"- Wii U camera may have been upgraded to .7MP"
This is getting ridiculous. Would it really hurt them so much to just add AT LEAST a 3MO camera? C'm ooon.
Come on Nintendo, stop being so stingy with your money or your costs for the controller. Give us at least 5 megapixels so its at least good enough. The 3DS camera is utter crap and its sad how phones can have better megapixels or even a megapixel than the 3DS and WiiU. It's a freaking next gen console controller, give it some power for goodness sakes! As for Retro's new game to revealed, I cannot wait! All of they're games have been incredible and I've loved everyone of them so far. I hope its a launch title or at least close to launch. Oh heck yes!!! A redesigned classic controller would be awesome. Give it clickable sticks, wireless, more weight to it and and buttons that feel solid, and you've got yourself an awesome controller.
I really hope all of this is true. Could not care less about how good the camera is, I've got an iPhone to take pictures with
The camera is mostly for communication and tracking purposes, where small pixel amounts have their strengths.
"A Nintendo-branded HDMI cable is also being prepared by Nintendo but it may never make it to retail."
It's things like this that just make my brain hurt. Why would you make a branded HDMI cable if you're not going to actually release it???
- Retro's project will be shown at E3 2012 and is 'massive'
Oh God! I know these a just more rumours but just thoughts of what this could be is too much... Another Metroid game in glorious HD? Star Fox's comeback? or better yet F-Zero?
probably to put in the box.
I had no idea that everyone wanted Retro to do a Pokemon... I've never heard anyone ask them to do that.
Retro is either working on an original IP as many people want them to do that, a new Metroid title hopefully something well matured and innovative over Prime - a massive 3rd person galaxy adventure in HD with nothing to do with prime; a massive Zelda adventure with kick-ass action; or as the rumors suggest Starfox - although I'm not sure why SF would fit them.
Agree that the redesigned classic controller needs rumble. And push down "clicky" control sticks.
I'm calling it now.
Retro is finishing that Zelda spin-off they were doing starring Sheik.
I can dream.
I do hope that all of these rumours are true. When it comes to the redesigned Classic Controller, I do hope that it will be almost fully wireless (and not dependent on plugging on to the Wii Remote which I think @motherbra1n mentioned) and it would be nice if it had clickable analog sticks.
About the Wii U controller having a 0.7 mesgapixels camera, as long as the camera has decent quality (around 360p) for video chat, I am fine with the megapixels for the camera. And it is nice that voice chat on the Wii U controller is up and running.
I hope there is a Nintendo-branded HDMI cable because I don't want a cheep one but I think it be packaged in with the Wii U like the PS3
it's digital. there is no real quality difference between a 2$ hdmi cable and a 100$ monster hdmi cable. as long as the 1s and 0s get across the wire, you're good to go.
I don't want to download the games because I like buying them as boxed games
I was talking about the video signal that goes over HDMI. There is ZERO difference between a digital signal over a cheap hdmi cable or an expensive one.
