IGN readers reveal their most-wanted E3 2012 tidbits, show no love for Nintendo

Seriously...how in the world does this stuff happen? Are Nintendo fans simply not interested in participating in polls like this? If that's the case, I can completely understand why! Thanks to Jassim for the heads up!

@Vic Vinegar

I'm pretty excited about Pikmin 3 and Smash Bros. :p

Anyways, yeah, the comments are very against the poll in general. That makes me happy :)

I dont believe many Nintendo fans really visit IGN anymore.

A lot of the forum sites I visit think that IGN is a joke anyway (as far as reviews and their troll article goes).

Uh, I'm pretty sure the Playstation 4 won't be at E3.

I can guarantee what Microsoft's keynotes gonna be:

Halo 4
GTA 5
hour of Kinect crap
maybe a reveal from Cliffy B, I don't know

Oh and here's gonna be Sony's

All Stars Battle Royale
Pushing the Vita
no Last Guardian AGAIN!

and heres what Nintendo's gonna be offering us

Pikmin 3
Mario Wii U
Wii U console
Retro Studios new project
maybe a look at the Wii U launch games like Assassin's Creed 3

Yeah I think we know who's gonna win

RMC, are you really THAT out of the loop concerning IGN information? Then again, I wouldn't blame you. You have to keep this site up and running (which you've done an amazing job, BTW) and tend to the ones that left IGN.

Nobody goes there to read about Nintendo anymore cause they have nothing to report. When you post the "IGN updates" usually we see stuff in the list that has been on this site for about 3 days. Their journalism is a joke. This poll doesn't come as a surprise.

I participated in this poll and the results reflected in this graphic are not at all representative of my responses :P

If Sony and Microsoft do anything more then mention they are working on new consoles I'm gonna chuck my 360 and PS3 out the window. There is no reason for Microsoft and Sony to release new consoles for another 2-3 years the only reason to release one is because like always you're doing a "me too" with Nintendo

We all know Nintendo will win for the upteenth time and that Microsoft will lose for the upteenth time. Sony will sit in middle for the upteenth time. I like most others agree that IGN is full of morons. This proves it.

Still think they'll be marginal tech differences between all 3 next gen systems [ala the PS2/X-Box/Gamecube era], tbh.

The 'hardcore' graphic whores are gonna be underwhelmed with anything not Avatar-level - their tears next year will be delicious. :P

@NeroSuferoth

if they had chosen sony it would have been understandable, but they chose microsoft, who have had appauling E3's for like 2 years now, all their ips have ran out of fuel and they never put gamers first in their press conferences, they chose microsoft simply because they are mindless fanboys.

Nintendo have given us nothing to be excited about for this E3 because they save all their announcements for E3, not before that, something microsoft (and even sony to a certain extent) don't get. I remember back in e3 2010, we all thought they'd have nothing to show other than zelda and metroid, remember how that turned out?

*mumbles to myself*

"Just two more weeks till E3... Just two more weeks till E3..."
User avatar

So essentially IGN readers don't have the slightest interest in innovation and a diverse selections of games.

Ok, bad E3 presentations aside, who do you think people here would choose?

That's correct, some of us get how Nintendo has done things for this event in the past, very secretive, yet people here are bitching because the poll's results are about Sony and MS stuff :? ...

"Microsoft going to win E3"

Microsoft...
That would certainly be good for them since they have had the worst recent conferences. Kind of embarrassing really.

Still for some reason, I expect them to be the good old microsoft pretending they did something awesome when everybody else just go yeah right. Even halo 4 doesn't seem to get the attention they hope for.

most IGN readers are IGNorant . the amount of hate towards nintendo and its fans these days from the likes of them, the press and many multi-gaming sites and magazines has gone way too far. they have been targeting them ever since the wii came out.

i understand that nintendo aren't perfect, but some of the comments and articles made about them is just so hate-filled and ridiculous.

it's sites like IGN that I avoid and instead stick with the nintendo based ones instead.

Polls are just based on opinions. What makes IGN readers' opinions worse than yours or mine?

The fact that they're opinions of people who read IGN.

Can you link me to that article where they called the Wii stupid and disrespected the readers.
I'm really curious.

It was a subtext in a lot of their reporting for a while but blew up on the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast a few years ago. It started with D. Hatfield calling the Wii "stupid", then the sentiment slowly bubbled up from the rest of the crew over the next month or so. They talked down to their users by saying things like, "Yah, this Ghostbusters game on Wii is okay, I guess, if you can't afford a 360." I'm paraphrasing, but things like that. Even the name of their podcast was a dig at the Wii for (at the time) not having any voice chat. Just rude, disrespectful and immature all around.

I'm not in the least surprised about the Daemon Hatfield bit. Dude is an all around c*nt.
I remember last year, there was this whole rukus because he lied to Dylan Cuthbert regarding one of his reviews.
Dylan, as we all know, was one of the key guys behind the original Star Fox, who now makes games for Sony with Pixeljunk.
Here's the neogaf thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=449885
Daemon is a living, breathing piece of dogshovel.

It's pretty much already clear who will "win" E3 this year. And wtf... nothing Nintendo? I guess it's like you guys are saying, not many Nintendo fans left on crappy IGN.

Microsoft will win E3? My @$$. As pointed out in another topic:

I like how IGN readers are excited to hear news of two consoles that were confirmed to not even appear at E3.

Hilarity.
