I really hope Capcom does something above and beyond for Mega Man's 25th Anniversary. All the people who've supported the franchise after all these years deserve a celebration, exclusive merchandise, and giveaways which rival anything done for Street Fighter's anniversary.
Their plans: 100 more pieces if merchandise no new game
There will be a DVD video:
"Remember the Good Times of Mega Man?"
*Picture is shown of fans being outraged at Legends 3's cancellation
"Good times"
Cautious optimism...
I'll just settle for Mega Man 11.
im gonna agree with the person who said tons of stuff they will sell but no games
Whatever it will be, it'll be lame. Capcom, much like Konami, lost their magic sometime around the turn of the century, if not before.
Oh yes, because Street Fighter is much more important than any other franchise you have done... it's because it gives you easy profit, right?
Anyway, I just wish they release at least SOMETHING from the series to buy here.
Watch them include Street Fighter X Tekken in whatever Mega Man collection they plan on putting out.
More like they're planning to release a game that stars that horrible NA boxart Mega Man with as much on-disc DLC as possible, while in the back of the box says "We're celebrating Mega Man's 25th Anniversary, but not thanks to you. Remember, it's your own fault Mega Man is death because the support wasn't there XP, now give us $60 for the game with and more $$$ for "additional" DLC".
If they DO release a game, I imagine it will be just a re-release of the Mega man Collection from PS2 and GCN with mega man 9 and 10 added.
Once again I must ask though, why did only Sonic and Zelda get worth while celebrations for their anniversaries? Seriously! I am not going into my personal feelings about the 2 franchises (don't get me started on the last three zelda games *grumble grumble*)
Why didn't DK get anything? Or Pac-man? I am not saying everything needs something big and impressive, but would it have killed Nintendo to say have a "Metroid Month" where all the metroid games went on sale and players could submit their metroid memories to a youtube channel or something?
Really I just don't get it...
Damned it, you did it before me! Of course, there is not going to be a new game and if BY ACCIDENT a new Megaman (
Wow, I thought capcom hated Mega Man now
They need to put out a compilation disc which includes the "classic" MM games 1-10 and a DVD of extra materials, documentaries/interviews, MM art and development insight/proto videos.
Also, on/just before the anniversary date they need to put out classic NES-style MegaMan 11 on Wii/3DS/PS3/360 and make an announcement that MM Legends 3 is back on track (or alternatively, that a next-gen MM is in development). I'm not asking for miracles here Capcom, these are pretty easy requests to fulfill and will make the fans happy and give the series a proper 25th celebration!
EDIT: Also make an announcement/hint that Mega Man is a playable character in the next chapter of a certain famous game series whose acronym starts with SSB...
25th anniversary huh? I'm guessing flowers from a roadside garage, and maybe a packet of Malteasers.
