Our lovable, ban-crazy staffer Cort has good reason to sell off a lot of his stuff. I'll leave that reason up to him to explain. Moving past that, Cort has grouped together some of the interesting gaming goodies he's collected over the years. He's thrown the package up on eBay and wanted to share with you guys! There are MANY more items in the full lot, so what you see above is just a very small sampling.

@LordRoto
if i had 2-3 more months, i would probably try doing smaller lots or individual items so more people could get exactly what they want, but i had <2 weeks to do all of this. just enough time to list and ship one thing. sux all around, i know.
hell, if that were the case with unlimited time, i'd just do giveaways on the site. but until now, i just wanted to amass my hoard.
Wish I could afford it. Would definitely bid on a few items individually. Good luck with everything!
Yeah, go nuts cort and put them all up individually!
btw, i just added 10% of the final value to child's play,
AND expanded buying/shipping options to more than just USA.
I'll keep an eye on this. I would love to have all this stuff, but I don't know if I have the change for it.
that is against child's play rules. btw.
"Due to our promotion policy, items must be listed at 100% to Child’s Play If your auction is listed at anything but 100%, it will be canceled and you may lose your listing fees, so please do not list unless you are willing to donate full proceeds to Child’s Play."
Love the Red Steel 2 shirt.
@gtt
yeah, whatever. that's a pretty lame rule. i can still donate 10% on my own.
indeed. Just wanted to give you a heads up before ebay yanked your listing.
@cortjezter
thanks for expanding buying/shipping options and include Mexico, still I can't buy your stuff thanks to lack of money. (-.-')
Can anybody else not open that page? Just a dead link for me...
All in one? I just want the Monster Hunter stuff.
I was thinking this wasn't really worth a $500 personal gamble, until I saw the final photo. Though I'd like to know the full contents of that bag. Definitely tempting, especially at that price.
It could contain 30 copies of Cooking Mama. You'll never know.
Wait, why didn't you just set the price to 99 cents instead? You'd get a few hundred bucks that way instead of tossing it away for nothing. What a waste!
i wanted it to have value as a collection. if it started at a dollar, nobody would take it seriously as a rare collection as the title claims (and it's true). i wanted to make it within reach for real collectors, but the buy option high enough that some jerk wouldn't come in and spoil it for everyone else right away. i'm not looking to get rich off this, but it is very rare and valuable to me. i thought long and hard before submitting those prices. i guess everyone has an opinion on auction strategies.
if stuff doesn't sell, oh well. i can still get a good return out of donating some of it to goodwill or whatnot.
since i'm moving, i don't have time to parcel things one by one or potentially have any leftovers. it all has to go, and bundling is the easiest way. then again, if i wasn't moving overseas, i wouldn't do it individually anyway..i wouldn't be selling it at all
@EVIL-C
i won't lie.. they're not all AAA titles, but there's not a single -____ing Mama to be found. I'm pretty sure no Ubishovelz either.
Oh god... Do I have the money to spend...
If I had money sitting around I would totally buy this crap and parcel it out to make some duckets. It would be a good investment for anyone that had the money and time and to piece it out.
This.
I always think its a great idea for websites that get free swag to have
contests/giveaways or donated to child's play, etc.
I honestly would have placed a bid on it if it was in the 250 range starting out, but starting out at 500 when I'm interested in only a hoodie (that probably won't fit me), some other minor things, and don't even know everything that is included just seems a bit steep.
other than the games in the duffel, i've put at least 90% of it in the photos, so if you look (the gallery on photobucket does have full-size images you can see more detail), you ought to know almost everything about it. the games are probably the least interesting, and more just a bonus than anything.
I've seen the photobucket images. I didn't know it accounted for 90% of the stuff though, but like I said my interest only lies within the stuff I mentioned. Lanyards, fans, and fliers/papers don't really appeal to me. Neat stuff I suppose, but that's why I said that a 250 range would be more appealing to a guy like me. Which, at the end of the day, the shirts/hoodies probably wouldn't fit me because I've got a pretty small build and I'm a short guy.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the $500 price point. I just wanted to offer a reason why I didn't bid that was different then the "TOO MUCH MONEY" or "Send it to RMC to give it away for free" comments.
@Broken_Cartridge
it's ok... i wish at some point in time all of this could have been given out from the site. but that's life i suppose.
we love you anyway!
You're moving to Japan? That's fantastic, man! Congrats and best of luck! We'll still see you around the site, right?
As for the auction, well, it's way out of my price range. But if you don't sell it now, why not put up each item individually or in small 'bundles' for $20 to $whatever. It'll be a more reasonable price for most people and you could potentially rake in more moolah.
Well it already has a bidder, and he already explained why he didn't do that. He doesn't have the time.
