Probably because it's a spring 2013 game for Japan (so it's far from the eld of development). Also, the 3DS resolution is much lower so it will look much better on the 3DS screen. Even Monster Hunter TriG (on the 3DS) has less jaggies than this. This game is gonna look fantastic on the 3DS!
I hope they skip MH3 and bring this baby! Also, I hope it has online.
That said this NEEDS to see release here. If not I'll have to buy a Japanese 3DS... it would be the first out-of-region system I buy, because this game pretty much deserves it after playing MHTri for hundreds of hours.
While it doesn't look that amazing graphically speaking, there seems to be many new things in gameplay.Hunters appear to be a lot more versalite.
Can't wait for this. I think we'll get it by 2014, and that's IF we get it. >_>
C'mon Capcom, don't be trolls and release Tri G in the west in the meantime!! It's not too late!
I feel like the 3DS is capable of more in terms of textures, but perhaps not. Likely, I'd say, the game is held back by the card format.
Of course, they could also scale back the project in terms of the amount of unique enemies and unique places, or use a bigger size card (I'm guessing they're using a 2 GB, instead of a 4 GB which is currently available) if they were terribly concerned about graphics.
I like how people keep saying Capcom won't bring this to America, when they brought all but one of the PSP titles to the states, even after that system was considered DOA.
My guess is we'll see the title here before 2013 is over.
The gameplay looks pretty cool and really fluid, but those graphics are kind of eehhh
I really wish the 3DS had more power behind it, but at least it forces devs to get creative and focus on art style rather than poly count. I am loving how colorful this game is, at the very least.
America? No, no! It has to come here to Europe! You guys can make another Rainfall!
Oh yeah, with online of course. Voice chat even. You can do it Cappy!
Graphics aren't THAT bad for an unfinished game. Actually it looks very good now. But the biggest part in the graphics department will be the 3D. Looked at some Tri images on the 3DS (before it was stolen) and hunting monsters in 3D will be pure pleasure!
I'd love for the low res environment textures to be an indication of a more open world instead of the zones connected by loading screens we got in Tri. I kinda doubt it though.
without online and free online really , the game got no chance at all in the west . And even them it's pretty small 200.000 europe and usa combined at best IF the players care enough . I don't think they do .
I think the last 3ds monster hunter looked a bit better , that is strange .
Wow, looks fantastic!!!
Excuse my ignorance in the matter, but... is this game being released outside of Japan?~
@MasterofMonster probably, but not for a long time
Ah, well, just like with Fire Emblem, better late than never. ^^" Thank you kindly~
Wow, for a 3DS game it looks pretty great. That game is gonna sell so many 3DS units in Japan.

I want this. It looks epic. And online would be great, considering I spent 100+ hours on Tri.
Models look great, but they seriously need to use higher-quality textures.
@FelipeGonc
Agreed.

0% of this happening outside of Japan.
That is the Most Awesome Thing Ever in the History of Everything
@Pichu2010
Its coming out here for sure. We usually dont get the "inbetween" games like TriG but portable and main games yes, yes we do
Graphics look bad (much much worse than I expected), but at least it still looks fun.

Dear Capcom:
How did you manage to make it look far worse than the Wii's MH3?
:O Wow, can't wait
damnit, Capcom. Release this here. Now. Nut up.

America, it needs to come to America.
that was so awesome!!!
knowing capcom they'd skip tri g and give us 4
but that would be so a shovel move.

There should be a worldwide release.
