NewEgg had a recent promo code to take $10 off any pre-order priced $39.99 or higher.

I've already pre-ordered Kingdom Hearts, but I think I'll be going with New Super Mario Bros. U, and wait on NSMB 2 for next year maybe (I don't need both that close, and it's not going anywhere).

Jumped all over the NSMB2 deal this morning and used the previous $10 off code for any game preorder last week on Castlevania, Paper Mario, Epic Mickey:POL and Luigi's Mansion 2. Saved myself $50.

I always purchase at the lowest price. I'm not loyal to any retailer. That's why I don't understand why people insist on shopping at GameStop when they are never the lowest price.

Actually, to be completely fair, there were a couple times were they DID have the lowest price, but the last time I remember was when they had Wario Land Shake It NEW for $20. It was about 30-35 elsewhere online. Needless to say I picked it up. The only time before that was when they had FE: Path of Radiance on sale for $10 New, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat with an extra set of Bongos for $20. So I do give credit where its due...just not often.

Personally I've never seen a new release where GameStop has the lowest price. The problem is, that typically not only do they not have the lowest price but they tack on an extra $5 to line their pockets. That GameStop tax was a given with first-party DS releases. And people just blindly paid it, sometimes even coming up with ridiculous excuses as to why they didn't mind repeatedly giving away an extra $5 to GameStop every time they bought a DS game. Meanwhile other retailers were offering lower prices and preorder incentives.
