$5 says somebody who isn't even going to comic-con is going to complain about the lack of Mega Man items.
These are some really weird items. Street Fighter chess and Hello Kitty themed toys? And what are poogies?
That Street Fighter chess set sure is nice. 400 dollars is probably reasonable but I'd never spend that much on a chess set.
I wouldn't mind snatching one of those "Welcome to Raccoon City" signs.
@OprahFTWinfrey
And lack of Ace Attorney items. Don't forget about that!
$5 bucks says Capcom has spent the last five years canceling our games and treating Mega Man fans like shovel and we'd be happy to see anything thrown our way. If they can;t make Mega Man games quick enough to show them off that's fine but I have every right to expect something after a damn $400 "25th Anniversary" Street Fighter chess set. You know who else is twenty-five this year? No, not until December, and Street Fighter isn't until August and we've been hearing all about Capcom's grandiose Street Fighter plans for months already, rendering that point invalid.
Yeah, I'm gonna win my bet, and looks like you win yours, because here I am. Mega Man fan. Not attending Comic-Con. Upset at Capcom's continued lack of flying craps to give for anything but Street Fighter and Resident Evil for the larger part of a decade. I don't know what I'm thinking though. Since I'm not going it has nothing to do with me thus it's irrelevant how crappy they continue to behave, right? I should just ignore it since I won't be there. You think there aren't Mega Man fans at Comic-Con who would love to see their favorite Capcom franchise represented? I'd like to remind you who Capcom's mascot was until just shortly and he didn't hold that spot for twenty years for no reason. Mega Man has a very large fan base and they continue to be ignored for absolutely no explained reason.
I never said Mega Man fans don't have a right to be upset. When was the last release? 2008? It's been 4 years with 2 cancelled games, and the whole time, they've been teasing fans to expect news, then not announcing anything. I'm a fan myself, and I'm just as pissed about how Capcom's cancelled every game that's come up and with how they're treating the anniversary with a soundtrack/booklet that we're probably not even going to get here in America while Street Fighter gets a huge box of goodies and a celebrations all year long.
In this case though, I don't really care too much that he's being ignored since I'm not going to Comic-con. Bothers me a little just because he's being ignored AGAIN, but I don't really see a reason to complain since I'm not going and I wouldn't be able to buy any of this stuff.
My comment was originally meant to point out how all the items are Street Fighter and Resident Evil releated (the only two franchises they seem to deem worthy of sequels nowadays), but looking at what I said yesterday, it kind of looks like I'm saying "Boo-hoo Mega Man fans, cry some more." I'm sorry I came off as insulting, that wasn't my intention.
Cammy should be the Queen of the Shadowloo side even though she's isn't a bad guy now. At least it'll be better than friggin' Yuri. But $400 for a Chess set...nah.
I went way overboard too. Sorry about that. I'm just tired of hearing people who do actually mean what I thought you meant. Sorry for misunderstanding. I would personally rather it go back to being sad that I can't be there first hand to purchase cool new Mega Man things than be sad that Capcom won't even glance at the franchise on it's 25th.
