That's sad.
I don't expect everyone to have masterful knowledge of everything that I'm interested in, but this is a pinnacle of an artistic medium... And none of these reasonably intelligent people had an answer.

To be fair, those were the worst contestants I've seen in a while. It took them three guesses to find that pi is an irrational number, they were mostly around $600 by Double Jeopardy, and one thought that 'nuclear psychics' was a material found in the control centers of cells.

Just watched it here on the West Coast. I loved the way Alex said Ocarina. After watching the first part of the show, I'm not surprised they didn't know it. They definitely aren't best contestants I've seen. Come on, how can you miss marimba?

I did read, that's where the confusion came from. Are you sure you know what the word "pinnacle" means? Or even what an artistic medium is for that matter?

A 'Musical Instruments' category? I would have loved to have seen the rest of the questions in that category to see if I would have gotten them. Throw in some really obscure wind instrument questions and I might be able to get them.
