I hope those who purchased EO4 did so for it's merits and not it's Moe-ified style. I'm not sure of it's previous art style but it'd be a sad road if future games continue this.

Well, I'd guess so, considering EO4 doesn't appear to be that out of line compared to its previous entries. So I'd daresay most people are pretty aware what they're getting into, especially considering the series' main appeal remains its gameplay and not the character art - which is barely visible throughout the game anyway outside the -admittedly this time seemingly bigger- battle stills.

same artist and style since the first game in 2007. Also.. like Red says, Etrian Odyssey is all gameplay.

Great that its doing well in Japan, hopefully a US announcement soon. All 3 previous games have had a 4-5 month window between Japanese and American releases, if IV follows suit we could have it by the end of the year. But, to my knowledge, Atlus USA hasn't said anything at all yet?
