One of my cousins has never played a video game start-to-finish in her life. She's played some Tetris here and there, but that's about it. Tonight she played Journey...all the way through. I can't tell you how proud I am! Definitely the high-point of my day, so I'm ending it on that note! I'll see you in a few, short hours.
While we may not be seeing a ton of commercials for Heroes of Ruin, I want to make sure it's in the forefront of your mind. We've been waiting awhile for this one to come out, so it deserves some fanfare now that you can hit up your local retailer and take a copy home!
We've all heard the complaints about generic character design and artwork, but that doesn't mean that a game isn't enjoyable to play. I personally didn't get the generic vibe from the graphics, but I'm a bit more easy to please than most. What's important to me is gameplay...and I'm hoping you're the same way!
No doubt about it, this game is best experienced with some friends. Hopefully you can convince 3 of your 3DS owning friends to join in on a purchase with you. The local multiplayer in Heroes of Ruin is an absolute blast. I've played through the demo a number of times, with everyone I've joined up with ending up convinced that they need to purchase the title. Of course, you can always go the online route for some multiplayer action, voice-chat enabled!
I think the real reason we need to show our support for Heroes of Ruin is because n-Space has really gone out of their way to utilize the 3DS' feature set. How many other voice-chat enabled, fully-online or local multiplayer, Street/SpotPass, DLC-supported 3DS games have you seen? The least you can do is try the free demo on the eShop and see if the game is for you.
Have you picked up Heroes of Ruin yet? What did you think of the demo? Leave us your impressions!
