I'm not buying this game. It's the exact same concept, just add more gold and it's done. Also... that fat boo looks god damn creepy, even for a Mario game
@Shaanyboi I don't see anything wrong with the trailer... :/
Would you rather they make a CGI trailer that doesn't show any real gameplay and plays dub step in the backgroudn?
Hmm, watched this on the eShop just now. Pretty disappointed by how they're leveraging the 3D effect, it's extremely mild and the layering seems sloppily done.
I hope it's just a result of the eShop video being recorded at low intensity, because I won't be happy if this is how the game will look.
EDIT: wait my mistake, it's a different trailer I saw. Still, what I said about the 3D remains true

you mean running and jumping...
oh no wait now its not just about running and jumping to pass levels
now you actually have to meet a goal instead of passing levels

No, but I expect whoever is editing this video together to be earning their paycheque by doing some actual editing and making a video that's actually interesting to watch. Not "we took all the clips we got and just kinda put em one after the other." From a video-production standpoint, this was beyond lazy. They couldn't even be bothered to make a singular audio track to allow for some cohesion.
This game looks way better than NSMBU, granted that the 3DS entry is closer to release, but still, at least the gameplay is centered around something different this time (coin collection)

I think NSMBU looks like a better game, but this one has a concept which has definitely piqued my interest. I will of course be buying both.
I wanna be cool and hip-like so i'm gonna say that it looks uninspired and i'm not going to get it herp derp.
But then I realized/remembered that i'm not a stuck up self important d-bag with an overinflated since of standards and that I like my games to be fun and don't let things like "not having the most cutting edge graphics ever" stop me from still enjoying a fun slice of platforming action, so i'm getting it.
nintendo really has no budgets for trailers, do they?

Looking good! The art style might bug some (for some reason

@zeeroid I always thought the 3D in the trailers where always "meh" when compared to the real thing
OMG Gold Mario and Metal Luigi. AWESOME!
This game's looking pretty good.
Don't all Mario platformers have the same concept? Run and jump on enemies, collecting coins. Never gets old to me.

@Shaanyboi Hmmm...I guess you are right, i didn't notice that.
Good thing I didn't get NSMB DS or the Wii one. This one and NSMB U are looking really good o_o!
Eh...I think I'll wait for a sale or buy it used.

@Shaanyboi
Stay in school please. You may eventually realize that simply taking classes doesn't mean you know everything or anything.
Ditto.
No, you're right. Working in the field definitely helps though.
