Iwata: "Many customers appear to be worried, asking questions like 'If the screen is bigger, won't the dots stand out?' and 'Will the screen get blurry?'.
Takashi Murakami: "Apparently I have incredible eyesight, so if you look at it with eyes like mine, you can tell. (laughs). But for normal play, I don't think anyone will be able to sense anything awkward."
Iwata: "The dots are indeed smaller than on the Nintendo DSi XL system. When I played [the 3DS XL], I wasn't bothered by anything at all."
In other words, you might notice...you might not. Might want to check out a demo unit before you buy!

If games have poor AA then they will look worse on the xl. But games like Mario kart and 3d land should look great
So pretty much anything not made by Nintendo
@Nintendude92 not exactly, revelation has a healthy dose of AA
So he wasn't bothered by it, therefore no one should.
doesnt matter
its a non issue
I don't think you speak for everyone.
iirc you can't do AA and 3D at the same time so this is only relevant in 2D mode for the games that support it
I think I'd personally notice the jaggies from the increased screen size but I could live with it. It's pretty much the same as playing a PSP game on Vita and you know what, PSP games look pretty damn spiffy on Vita
Some FSAA or FXAA could solve any problems, BUT consoles don't use Antialiasing at all!
Wii would look much better with FXAA, if you can't push crisp 1080p with steady 60 fps, than make use of FXAA Nintendo - please. Oh, the hardware isn't capable of FXAA, because YOU didn't want to raise the costs of the system about 1-5 bucks. I understand!
Instead 149 you'll have to raise to 159, BUT for most gamers, 10 bucks isn't a problem especially for a system which will last 4-5 years.
The same problem with Wii U, Nintendo just wants too much keeping the costs low at launch. Albeit a much more powerful system wouldn't cost much more, they just won't do it. OK, 299 for Wii U is a reasonable price, but 349 and a really powerful system could last 4-5 years easily and they could advertise the visual quality pushed by Wii U with FSAA or FXAA and 60 fps.
That a selling point!
Wii U for only 349 !!! Including Nintendo Land, Online functionality for free, 720p and 1080p graphics with 60 fps, Full Screen Antialiasing for ultra high quality visuals...
I have 20/10 vision, so... hmm.
