The XL's design has grown on me. At first it looked cheap and ugly, but now I kinda want one. I'll wait another 2 years to see if an actual revision is made, by which point then I'll probably get myself one of these.
The blue looks better than I originally thought it would but I'm still going to wait for a different color. Either black or a nice dark green. By then any possible design flaws should be ironed out. My last few launch day Nintendo systems (ds lite, Wii, 3DS) all had problems. Never again.
I do not know which design flaws you speak of, I love my 3ds xl, it came on wednesday and the blue is absolutely beautiful. I love the stylus, the new buttons, the screen is so much better. DS games look fine on it. I'm not sure what they could fix. I'm not even that bothered about an extra analogue stick, I've been playing kingdom hearts and the shoulder buttons do their job just fine. I have small hands but still find this bigger size much more comfortable. The original was awkward to hold and make my hands sore after a short time.
You have no excuses but to buy it.

10 ambassador games + Punch Out?

I think he means like how early DS lites were prone to the hinge cracking, or losing the ability to lock in place, early Wii units had trouble when dual layer discs came out, and early 3DS consoles had the issue with the screen scratching and very floppy hinges. The 3DS XL fixes a lot of the problems I have with the original model, but it'll take a few weeks or even months to see if there are any problems with the manufacturing process.

I don't know of any design flaws in the XL. But like I said, the last few Nintendo systems I got all had them. They were:
DS Lite: Hinge cracks
Wii: Video card rot (I've sent my Wii back to Nintendo 6-7 times!)
3DS: Bottom screen and circle pad leaves lines on the top screen
So after that lousy track record, I'm expecting something to be wrong with the first batch of XLs. Hopefully not, but waiting for a better color will give them a chance to work out whatever might crop up.
Soo getting it
There's a Giant bomb vidoe up as well. Super funny and entertaining. They got NSMB2 as well.
That blue is nicer than I had imagined.
So long sexy charging cradle
1. NOA DID say that US would get AC adapter, 2. that 3rd manual is in ENGLISH, not AMERICAN (face-palm)
@kmc2482
I believe he was joking when he was saying in American.
Why did he say he has all 11 of the NES games?
