Nintendo def should have tried something a little different with the art direction on this one, and the music, culd have remixed a bunch of old music from SMB 1 through World and it would have been more refreshing than the typical NSMB music. Overall I know I will enjoy this game though!
In a fairly recent Interview, Ninty kinda said that the NSMB games will never be changed in any big way. So, it seems a new Artstyle may be out of the question. D:

Well, I can't really remember what Ninty said... I guess we can just wait to see for ourselves. ._.
That was an enjoyable review! I can't wait for the game, although I'm really bummed the music is mostly the same. I never liked the NSMB music, especially the 'La La' in the main song...I'm so sick of that.
I don't care that they're using the same art style. It's the re-used music that I'm mostly concerned with. If they have to re-use music, I'd rather it have been from any games BUT the NSMB series.
I'm also having trouble with the mention of how easy single player is. I heard those same arguments for all Mario games lately, and while lives haven't been relevant since the save feature was invented, I have died and gotten hung up on levels plenty of times in Super Mario 3D Land, Both Galaxies, and NSMB Wii.

Argh this guy needs to OPEN HIS MOUTH when he speaks. Enunciate, man
Well, I will get it, and most likely Love it.
But, after NSMBU... Nintendo will HAVE to do something new with the NSMB games. Even though they said they won't.
@MasterofMonster
what do you mean they said they won't ?

@MasterofMonster I don't think we'll get another nsmb game for a couple of years though
Excluding NSMBU, then yes, I agree. But when we do, I fear Nintendo might not have made any noticable differances once again.

I finally made up my mind and cancelled my pre-order.
I'll get it sometimes when it's cheap.
