Random Time! - Kohei Uchimura wins Gold at Olympics...also works at Konami

Here's something to blow your mind. The men's gymnastics all-around gold medal winner is Kohei Uchimura. He also happens to hold a position at Konami! There's actually three Konami employees participating in the Olympics, but Uchimura has really achieved success.

Three employees from the same company? Pretty impressive if you ask me :)

Clearly he used the Konami Code.

I demand a recount. Or something.

Even as a gymnast my own self I wouldn't want to even begin to do some of those, other skills I may not care.

Clearly, Konami is pushing the limits of what it means to be extreeeeeeeeeeme.

What the heck? By day he's a simple Konami employee. By night, he wins World and Olympic Gymnastics Golds? LOL, I guess!

that's like really surprising , the commentators could not stop talking about his silver medal in beijing followed by the unprecedented streak of three world title and then that team silver and gold . I mean with all that how ...

Makes me wonder in what position they work in Konami...

This explains why Konami sucks so much, they spend more time being awesome at the Olympics then they do making and promoting their games.

Wow, I would think by know Konami would've come up with a new game engine based on these guys... Maybe that's what Kojima uses for MG

This guy is being considered the greatest gymnast of all time. He's that guy that when you do something, he'll always add more and make it better. Everyone does double fulls? He'll add the extra 360 spin. Double tucks? Pff, let's add another half and land with a dive-roll. He deserves the gold medal he got. Such a beast. This should give Konami some good publicity. Now if only they supported Nintendo a bit more...

Hey! Nobody even notice, but this is a great example that it's not because we work in the Video Game industry that we are all unhealthy sport haters. ;)

It's pretty awesome. And THREE work at Konami?!?! I'm pretty certain there is almost no other company that can declare they have three Olympic athletes working for them! xD

I can't wait for MEDAL GEAR! Get it? Medal... because... eh... nevermind!!
With those moves, Uchimura makes Cyborg Ninja look like Betty White!!

Ha. The comments in here make me chuckle, these Konami employees don't make games. They work for Konami Sports Life & Co. it's a subsidiary of Konami. These men have never done anything gaming related in their line of work.

Being an athlete, I can tell you, to be in the Olympics and to train that hard, there's no way you'd be holding a desk job with strict hours. I suppose it's possible, but not likely in the least.

Considering that Konami owns their own chain of gyms in Japan, I'm really not surprised by this.

Wow, that's amazing. It's like he has no bones, he's so flexible. So cool.
