"There's never been an official statement why [StarFox 2] was cancelled"
I'm pretty sure I read in an Iwata asks that it was cancelled because about 60% was reused for StarFox 64. Eitherway, it was the end of the SNES's life and the game had a faster FX chip that was probably more expensive to produve than it was worth. I didn't know about the canceled Arcade or Virtual Boy versions, though Red Alarm was pretty similar to StarFox.
It was nice to get some context of why that Arwing was in Ocarina of Time, too.
Dylan Cuthbert stated that about 30% of the ideas in Star Fox 64 came from Star Fox 2. The game did not come out due to the impeding release of the N64.
Anyway, some pretty cool facts here, and even the ones I already knew about were nice to hear again if just because the video is well put together (like I knew about the placements of the masks in Majora's Mask years ago, and part of me thinks I even realized it as a kid but just forgot over time until being reminded, heh). Now the stuff about the legs is mostly new. I knew their legs were robotic looking in the SNES game since I saw the Nintendo Power artwork and boxart back then, but I never thought of the reasoning why (and never knew that fact about jet pilots either).
First one of these where I already knew it all.
I knew all of these however Falco is a Pheasant not a Falcon.

Before I watch: Let me guess, the amputated leg theory is one of the "facts".
Edit: Called it.
I didn't knew the Arwing enemy in OoT was legit. I thought it was fanmade an added to an emulation rom.
They didn't say it was a fact, they said it is a possible suggestion.
Jingleboy,

I did pretty much know all those, although picked up the odd thing, such as the Star Fox Arcade poster.
This looked like a desktop screenie to me at first because of all of the sprites along the left
