Coming from a recent Nintendo newsletter...
I'm guessing they mean midnight that leads into Aug. 19th, not midnight from the 19th to the 20th. Thanks to SteveSnowmn for the heads up!

Yeah, but is this for Eastern Time or Pacific?
Wonderful, a good reason to stay up late!
...I'll probably unknowingly pull an all-nighter next weekend.
So that means that I can purchase it while I'm lurking around the internet around 1?
Now I know when the eShop servers will crash!
@CrispyGoomba
Most likely Pacific. NOA is based in Washington state, which is on Pacific time.
Pacific Time most likely.
Well it's obviously not midnight on the 20th...lol. That would mean it's available a day later than retail copies.
We should boycott this! You are paying $40 for a download! You are giving Nintendo: shipping costs for something never shipped, retail cost, for something that never sat on a store shelf, and packaging costs for something that doesn't come with a cart/case/instructions! This is a VERY bad thing taking place here. This is NOT good!
If Nintendo wanted to lower the DL cost to $30, then fine, but paying retail cost for a download is evil! And yeah, no, an extra 100 coins is BS!
