Tantalus the team behind Mass Effect 3 on Wii U

Remember when we found out that Tantalus was working on a AAA Wii U title? We now finally know what they're working on. During a Mass Effect 3 demo session, an EA rep reveals that Tantalus is the team handling the port. Tantalus definitely knows Nintendo platforms, so I have faith in this being a bang-up job.

ewwww

As bad of a rep as EA gets (deservedly), I'd much rather one of EA's many, many studios handle this over a company that's never made a good game in their entire 40+ game career.

Well so far the hands on impressions have been generally favorable. I would be worried if this were an original game from Tantalus, but it's not. This is a port of an already decent game, so they can't mess this up too badly. I'm really looking forward to this, based off the control concept and the good impressions I'm reading so far.

@Mario1234567@osk
And Greezo has an impressive CV?
They did a WiiWare game and a port direct of Four Swords Adventure before doing the remake-port of Ocarina of Time.

They are doing a port. All they need are people who can technically code correctly. The art, design, gameplay, etc, etc is already done. They just need to tweak the code to run on Wii U. Impressions of the Wii U version of ME3 are positive, it's reported to be running very well and looking very well, so these guys might be able to code a lot better than you guys think.

Or you could just instantly jump down their throats like children. Which works for you.

Well it's not like they're actually MAKING anything, they just have to implement the controller properly and make sure the thing runs. Still... eh..

I don't know why I keep reading that these guys have experience with Nintendo. They've done quite a few random DS and GBA games, but that's practically it concerning Nintendo. They did work on Unreal II, so that adds credibility. I'm sure the port will be fine. So far it looks fantastic.

if it wasn't for the impression and the footage already available , i would be worried . They never actually worked on wii and their handhelds output is .... despite all that it seems they do have the technical skills . EA chose horribly for the nfs hot pursuit , an ios developer and it showed big time , especially compared to their own game they made a year before nfs nitro !
as of now i didn't see anything remotely close to that concerning mass effect , so they are true professionals.
