GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Welcome our new staffer, NintenDaan!

Fun news tonight! I'll just let you get right to it. See you in a few, short hours!

It doesn't matter if you've been reading GoNintendo for 7+ years or just showed up this week. You most likely know the name NintenDaan. We've been sharing his videos on GN for a very long time now. NintenDaan is known for having some absolutely stellar YouTube channels, which just so happen to be chock-full of all the Nintendo gaming content you could want. Doesn't matter if it's out in the states, Europe or Japan...he covers it all!

With our bigger focus on video lately, it only made sense to reach out to NintenDaan about joining up with us. After a very long discussion that took place over a great number of months, it's finally time to give NintenDaan an official welcome onto the staff. NintenDaan will be doing what he does best...providing amazing video content! In the future, he may even pop in with some impressions/review articles!

That's enough blabbing from me. Let's let NintenDaan share his thoughts on the pairing.

When I was asked to write an introduction for the site's readers, I had a hard time at first deciding what I was going to say. I don't consider myself a prominent voice, so receiving the initial mail in February of this year came to me as a bit of a surprise. It started a long string of talks, which I can only describe as positive. This feeling came to mind mostly, because we were not in a rush to come to a conclusion. We took our time with figuring it all out and we made sure that the most important stones were turned.

What will I be doing for GoNintendo? If you have followed or are currently following my line of work, you'll already know that I enjoy doing all kinds of stuff, from writing articles and editorials to making silly videos of obscure Japanese games. For this specific website, I hope to bring more European flair to the table. This might entail some articles, videos or whatever what might come from our combined forces. We just suggest that you keep your eyes peeled and hopefully we should be able to do the rest. I am absolutely excited to work together with the various people involved on the site and interact with the community here in more ways than one. GoNintendo was my very first home on the internet, mostly thanks to Kevin, who gave me a voice. I have gotten many opportunities since then, but it tracks back to that one moment in time. I got the confidence to accomplish more than I initially wanted and for me personally it is time to pay back that large bill. - NintenDaan

It's an absolute honor to have NintenDaan on staff with us. It couldn't be better timing, seeing as how I finally met him at E3 this year! Working together on the internet for years is one thing, but meeting up in person is a great experience. Now we'll be lucky enough to have NintenDaan bringing us the fantastic content he's become known for over the years.

Just to be clear, everything on GN will remain the same. I'm still the regular news/video poster here. Nothing is changing for me. The difference is, now we'll have a direct link to NintenDaan and his wonderful video content. Also, as mentioned above, we should see some written features from the man himself. In other words, same old content from me, plus great video content (and possible written features) from NintenDaan. Sounds like a win-win to me!
