I took a trip out to GameStop earlier today, and for good reason!

While at the store, I asked a couple more questions about Wii U. My local store has promo materials up for the Wii U, but when asked about preorders, they said they're not taking any at the moment. They're still waiting for the good word from higher-up.
That's a shame, because the employee I talked to said that customers have been 'foaming at the mouth' for the system. They're eager to plop down their cash...and I think it's about time Nintendo let them!

The foaming at the mouth started a long time ago. It's probably safe to say that I'm at borderline obsession.

I just picked up mine too. Almost had a heart attack when the employee told me it didn't arrive today. In the nick of time though a box arrived and the game was in there!

Dude at GameStop just said they'd start Wii U pre-orders "soon".
I had to go twice because the guy told me that the CD was packaged with the game. >_>

My NewEgg copy came today with the CD shrink wrapped to the box. Also saved ten dollars thanks to their promo and the best part of it was avoiding gamestop.

Wandered into EB today... was told by the csr that HE had been told it would be in tomorrow. He told me he didn't believe it, and that it would most likely be Monday.
Best Buy is worse.. pre-ordered there recently and they didn't have my product at launch day. Demanded my money back, went across the street and got the limited edition at Gamestop.
At least gamestop is punctual with their releases
The packaging on the Last Story is simply amazing. The bonus cd, the art book, the box itself (which is made up to look like a book) wow. This is the kind of treatment Mario should have gotten for his anniversary. The game is also very good.
Yeah, when I got my copy the clerk went through the whole "would you like to preorder" deal and I simply told him that I'll probably be back when Wii U preorders go up and I was on my way. They also had Wii U graphics up (the same cube rotary shown off in most stories thus far) and had them situated right at front. Twas nice to see.
Mine still haven't received mine.
Also, no WiiU stands or ads or anything, just a small card on the clerk's desk with a QR code to subscribe for emails about preorders.. :/
