Reader Nathan sent in this pic from his local Best Buy...

Now this is what I'm talking about! Big, clean and unavoidable! Damn, why can't Wii U come out tomorrow?!

It feels dangerously close to the impact of the WiiU launch date announcement... Any day now...

I'd have a stroke walking in on that.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we hear any news before Sept.

Are people forgetting Nintendo is currently in midst of releasing a new piece of hardware along with a AAA game?

If this is supposed to be the 3DS's "second coming" let it happen. The Wii U will get the spotlight soon enough, give the 3DS XL some time to shine.

I'm sure they are going to get a lot of people asking about that now. When customers do ask all the employee can say is its coming this holiday... Come on Nintendo, we need another Nintendo Direct very soon! I'm guessing it will be the beginning of September when they reveal a lot more info.

Can I have that on my wall?

That's cool and all but I still wish they went with a different name that didn't include Wii in it. Given how they added the "expanded audience" to the fold, they may be less likely to understand that Wii U is a new system not just an upgrade to Wii itself or just a peripheral. Nintendo has its work cut out for itself to distinguish Wii U and help the general public understand it's a whole new system.

That's positively awesome. Can't wait for this system!

@LDAF

now I wonder if Nintendo or Best Buy pushed for that.....and the fact that more and more places are getting display materials makes me think we will get news VERY soon after 3DS XL launch....and yeah the name is odd, but I understand why they went with it, bottom line will be the games!

I sure hope we can pre order soon, or they at least give us some warning. I do not want to wait in front of walmart again just to get one thats for damn sure.

I was sooooo lucky to get one, I was 13th in the line, but sadly there was only 9... The others all went to find some at others stores (in the neighboring cities), but I stayed there, as I was waiting for a friend that preordered one. 15 minutes later (it was WAY before the store would open), the manager opened the door to ask where was the guy that was 10th in the line, someone had cancelled his preorder. One family man turned around and said: "You waited here even though you had no hope to get one, it must be yours!" So he pushed me to the manager and said I was the tenth one! It was such a fantastic time. Everyone was great to talk with, and I will always remember my first console launch. :)
Fun fact: The tenth guy in line happened to be in one of my classes two years later. I was telling the story to a friend when he heard it... He told me he went to find one a at many stores, to end up empty handed. We are now best friends, and we started hanging out because of this. xD

So yeah... I think I'll show up earlier for the launch even if I get a preorder, just to be able to live a similar experience. :P

@barto got it! In an interview a little while back one Ninty head reps stated Nintendo wants to wait until after the 3DSXL hits shelves before they fully dicuss the WiiU and give a date and price. They went on to say they wont be pricing 3rd party titles. And that those $99.99 software prices are rediculous!

The "Coming Soon" font reminds me of the Dark Knight Trilogy. RISE

Ah nice, i was like 12th in line and they only had 16 systems, it was good to know i would get one though. There was a guy who cut in line behind me and all the people behind were arguing and fighting along with the staff at walmart, while the rest of us just got our ticket and went on our way :lol:
