The colors will look better when you consider the blue case. It would be a cool idea if they used a different color for mature games. This would help parents screen games easier also. Does anyone know if they are using traditional DVD cases or smaller blue ray cases. The blue and yellow would go better with a translucent blue ray case.
well ... it's too bad they can't take white again , maybe next time . Imo it's very minimalist , i don't see how they could make less intrusive and still retain the branding needed to make people understand it's a new system. They should do like they did with some wii jpn titles and put them on simple black dvd case , it looks stylish even though it's the most common case .
I'm just happy Darksiders II is ready for the Wii U launch. It's a waste of my time commenting on how good or bad the boxart is, even though i'm glad to see it for the game. I don't play games simply for the boxart alone.

Good for you, but people are still free to comment about how they feel about that tab colour, regardless of how they feel about the game.
Believe it or not, some gamers appreciate good looking boxart. Sadly, it seems like it has become a lost art form as many companies don't car how generic it looks. We've seen a lot of fan-made attempts that looks light years better. Of course, some designs while beautiful, may not be appropriate as real boxart because they may be using a minimalist approach that most consumers wouldn't effectively communicate what the game is about to the average consumer.
The blue/yellow tab is terrible and wont mesh well with every box art. but the style reminds me of the GameCube covers. They should stick with black tab with black colored box.
they havent said anything about it
Awesome artwork! I think they should change the blue to a metallic silver similar to the Gameboy Advance box art though.

i keep tweeting to Nintendo to change it
The blue tab looks fine to me. It's the yellow that makes it looks ugly and would look a lot better if it were white instead.

Love it - will definitely stand out on the shelf!
This Boxart would make me buy it if I knew nothing of it(I still intend to buy it).
They should have different color schemes for games of more serious tones. The contrast is eye-catching but that's about it.
I'd bet Japanese WiiU box arts will continue the trend of having more mature games with black logos like on Wii and 3DS.
I immediately loved this when I saw it.

Ewww at that tab color... :-/

it is definitely better than 360's monstrous green band.
ps3 is the best, but both it and 360 cut of deaths head a bit!

I like the Wii U one the best, then the PS3. It clashes with the purple in the lettering, but overall looks awesome.

The blue tab is fugly as hell. Needs a more neutral colour. Makes you appreciate the white Wii covers all the more now that they're gone.
I don't care what anyone says about the Wii-U boxart logo. I love it. Reminds me of wildberry toaster strudels.
Yuuuummmmmmm
Heh, my first heads up...
Also, looking forward to this.
Anyone notice Gamestop doesnt have this game listed for the Wii U? I asked the cashier they just shrugged
They should have made all the purple on the box blue instead. It would have looked much better.
THQ made some good Wii games -- the Deblob series, and Deadly Creatures come to mind -- hopefully they continue with Wii U
