Is this numbered list organized to where number 1 is the best=???
Because if it is, there is no reason Chrono Trigger shouldn't be in the top 10 (maybe the top 20).
Also, that spot seems pretty high for the original Final Fantasy (if it is a numbered list). It is a great game and a revolutionary game, but it hasn't exactly aged well.
Don't you go badmouthing the OG Final Fantasy! Sure it is missing some things that more modern RPGs have ( like names longer than 4 characters, or save systems that make sense), and it's soundtrack could be charitably referred to as screechy...
But... just think of all the strategy involved in making sure that your characters don't swing at empty air where an enemy used to be.
Despite all of those thoroughly unreasonable complaints, I think FF1 holds up fairly well in one of it's more modern ports (the PSP version looks quite nice, and has modernized a few aspects of the game.)
FF1 does hold up pretty well, but it hasn't aged well compared to other RPGs, like the first few Dragon Quest games, and other Final Fantasy games (III-VI specifically).
Also, it is definitely not better than Chrono Trigger. You gotta be crazy to believe that.
