Well, I guess, thankfully this wasn't the episode you got some birthday gifts.
Wow. Great job, Poopaloop. Seriously, that's the saddest picture I've ever seen. T.T
I'm wondering if Howard Phillips knows about Nintendo Power's demise?
That was my first issue of Nintendo Power. It had a good ride. So sad to see it go.
Man, Nintendo Power used to be such a LEGEND. At least they have Nintendo Directs now, which I do enjoy. But it's still not the same as a magazine.
Nintendo would be smart to use Nintendo Power closing as a way to reinvent it's function currently to be part of what the Miiverse can offer similar to how Nintendo Power was huge back in the NES/SNES days.
I think of the DS game Retro Game Challenge seemed to capture some of that stuff in the game by collecting magazines and using hints and codes from the in-game magazines.
I could imagine ways it could link Wii channels like Everybody Votes and Check Mii Out with walkthroughs and cheats, bonus dlc content, achievements, game previews, videos, even linking surveys and Club Nintendo coins, there is a lot of stuff Nintendo can bring together by going back to their roots.
Nitendo Power doesn't have to die. It can be born again in a new form with a function similar to what it did back in the days but utilizing the internet's strengths, instead of being stuck by a magazine's limitations.
this was the first time ive actively subscribed to any magazine... and it will only last 7 issues since subscription... awesome....
Man, so many Nintendo Power memories. I was a subscriber since issue #1. In fact, I was a subscriber of the Nintendo Fun Club News before that. Shows how old I am. I was in elementary school when I started reading and in college when I stopped. I might not have read for the past 10-15 years or but it still meant a lot to me. Nintendo Power was a part of my childhood.
Goodnight, sweet prince.
I started reading around 2001, thanks to my 4th grade library. I stopped reading mid 2011 due to my busy schedule. I'm very sad to see it end though. I'm making sure to get the last issue.
