I hope he's planning to pay Mike Tyson too, because that'll be necessary before the project can be legal. And then there's paying the fan artists.
I would honestly love to have the book, but $125 is ridiculous. I would have pledged up to $30 for it if I didn't think it would be smacked down by either Nintendo or Tyson.

Even if he covers the copyright fee, I've stated my reasons why I'm not interested.
People write unofficial biographies and such all the time though, you can go to a bookstore and see them. I think the real issue is getting permission to write about the intellectual property from Nintendo since they're using official artwork.
