Nothing new (to me, at least).
But hey, I'm getting more hyped for this game every day. Even without partners, I'm sure it'll be great.
...the World Map is the one thing I don't like, though.
Its quick travel, you can still explore like you could in TTYD and PM1.
I don't see the world map as an issue honestly. From whats been shown, it looks like it will more or less pop up between paths that would other wise connect two areas anyways (for example, it would pop up between Forever Forest and Bow's Mansion in the original PM), so I don't see it doing anything other than making traveling a bit faster.
Wow no partners this time, but I was expecting that to be honest. :o
Aw no partners... #disappointment
I loved the World Map in SMRPG, I'm glad they're adding that feature here too!
Bah... Still wishing this was a Mario & Luigi RPG 4 instead of this.
Never play the Paper Mario series?
It's good in it's own right.
And superior. So, for how many is no partners a deal breaker for this game?
I still want to get the game.
There will never be a Super Mario RPG 2.
@FighterKirby
Yeah because doing back tracking is the superior idea...
Explain to me the problem with the world map exactly?
The original game had a full world, but you could fast travel places. Did you honestly walk back through everything?
TTYD just had warps. One town, and you used pipes to warp everywhere.
How is this much different? Because there's no illusion of a full world? Or you want to actually traverse back and forth through the same stuff?
As much as I loved partners in the first two games, it was pretty obvious at this time that this game wasn't going to have them.
That's my only problem with the game. But I'll see how the sticker mechanics work before passing judgement. Overall the game seems awesome, I'm pretty hyped for it.
So final confirmation of no partners? Bummer
To each their own. The only thing I like better about the Paper Mario games are the unique NPCs.
If the Paper Mario series IS better than Mario and Luigi, that's only because Mario and Luigi's been restricted to handhelds, and couldn't show what it could potentially do with higher power.
