@ddddd I'm thinking that what was said is actually all the details that there is to be said about this version. (aside from the previously mentioned digital comics that allow you to do the choices from 1 and 2, and also having the extended endings.)
But seriously, I am beginning to think that it is possible that the WiiU, next Xbox, and the PlayStation 4 will all be released about 18 months to 24 months apart from each other.

If they ever get released. People don't seem to realize just how much it will cost them to release a new console with the latest tech and how much it is in their interest to delay the next generation as much as possible. Gamers desperate for a new generation are making those plans very complicated. Microsoft could probably take the heat, but with Sony overall in financial trouble they need their gaming division to be profitable and PS3 is finally making them good money. A new generation will be akin to throwing that all away, but they'll do it if they feel they have no other choice.
Sony's predicament is completely their own doing. No one told them to release a console at a absurdly high price will take a $300+ loss per unit. If they sit on their hands they'll get crushed by Nintendo and Microsoft. If they release a new console they at least have chance at regaining the most market share.
I hope for their sakes they launch a platform that is financially viable from the outset. Sony's platform plans seem to be contingent on them dominating the market. They are no longer able to leverage their larger size to absorb losses. They need to adopt a Nintendo like strategy in which they release hardware that they'll break even or make a small profit from at launch.

But if they do take the Nintendo route, and release a less-powerful console that is more financially viable, then really, how much more powerful than the PS3 can it be? Would it even be a noticeable boost in the eyes of consumers? I too think they shot themselves in the foot by overshooting with the PS3. Sure it's powerful, but that may come back to bite them, since now they'd have to make PS4 significantly more powerful to seem like a step up.
Unless, of course, they repackage it in a new shell with a fancy control method. Oh wait, that's already been done!
New details would have been nice

@scikoolaid
HAHAHA!!! So true.

How can a system with no announced release date be delayed? That makes no sense....
I bet Adam Sessler has the answer.
@Gold_Ultima If they have an internal release date they've been aiming for and/or have told other publishers a rough release date.
