And no, these aren't Ambassador titles. It looks like GBA games from the portable's history may soon start hitting the 3DS VC via eShop. This information comes from Nintendo Australia's website.
Dr. Mario is the only title listed as of right now. While that may be a hiccup, the search indicator/logo for GBA games gives me more hope. Is this going to be the start of a long library of GBA VC content?

he tripped yoshi! do they all start pummeling him after that?
This is what I want.
And I know it's going to be a mistake, so now I am sad.
@jesse himself
Yes. Did you not see the original SSB commercial? It was beautiful.
YESYESYESYES!
Superstar Saga, gogogo~
Whoops! A leak? Someone patch up the floodgates before the 13th.
Bah. So much for us who bought the 3DS at launch getting exclusive VC game.
It probably won't be the ambassador games though (I think), just other GBA games.
The exclusivity is irrelevant, because we still got the the games for 'free'. I for one welcome GBA games to the Virtual Console library. Ambassadors need to stop being so selfish.
I agree with this. So you bought the console before others did, and paid more for it. Really, stop being so elitist over it; it's ridiculous. You knew this was happening when the NES Ambassador games were added to the eShop, so there's really no reason to complain. You just got an advance copy (no pun intended) and nothing more.
That said, I am looking forward to any possible updates on this. :3
It wont happen until GameCube games hit the VC on Wii U or the next real rendition of the 3DS
@Mirby I'm an ambassador and I want GBA VC games
Howabout Wonderswan and NeoGeo pocket games while you're at it Nintendo?
Mother 3 please?
Okay that's asking for too much...
Metroid Zero Mission please?
Okat that's aasking for too much...
Um... Mario Kart?
Yeah that seems realistic.
@t27duck
Wait... so you got games for FREE and youre complaining because people will be able to BUY it years later? I don't understand you guys.
i dont get it either im one of the ambassadors and i want gba games whats the problem with adding more to the eshop?
Man, I hope this is legit. I don't want to spend most of my paycheck just to play Ninja Five-O
So Nintendo is selling out the loyal most ardent fans who bought the 3DS at launch?
This is a major slap in the face to those fans.
Also, for all the ambassadors complaining... no one said they would put the ambassador GBA titles on there. Just GBA titles in general, and there's a bunch of other quality GBA games other than those that could be worth putting there. Well, unless you count GBA games in general as some kind of "exclusive"(really?).
Though, I'd accept ambassador games on there too (if only because I was dumb and lost my first 3DS with the ambassador games, I'd want to play those again), remember, you got them for free much earlier, at least you don't have to pay for them.
We paid!
They went from charging us $250 at the end of March to dropping the price by $80 in less than 5 months.
...Yeah, I guess that's true.
Even so, maybe you should wait with complaining until you see WHICH GBA games will be on there. For all you know those 10 titles might still be exclusives.
Our complaints are valid and Nintendo will make all their big name GBA available for purchase.
They lied when they said GBA games would be exclusive to us Ambassadors.
Wait, they did? I'm pretty sure they just said that THOSE GBA games would be exclusive, not GBA games in general. Either way, just because you got some exclusive GBA games that shouldn't be a reason no one else should get any games just because they're from the same console.
Yeah, just simply another sign of being an insatiable gamer.
Great to see that GBA games will come to the VC, 'if' true.^_^
I got free games so I am happy about that, plus I fear the day the batteries die in my Metroid Zero,Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland, and Castlevania Harmony carts.
My research tells me everything else I own is flash based saving.
And this means I can go back to having just one handheld system instead of 3.
Man I hope this is real! NEED SOME GBA!
If they released the Ambassador GBA games to non-Ambassadors, it'd cost probably $8 for each game. $80 for GBA games. And $50 for the NES games.
Ambassadors paid $250 for the 3DS, 20 ambassador games, and a lot also got Excitebike 3D Classics for free.
A non-Ambassador would have to pay $386 to have the same stuff as early adopters.
So someone explain to me why you'd feel cheated if we could buy those games?
It's not a slap in the face. Get over yourselves. You paid an extra $80 and saved money on what it would cost roughly $130 to actually buy from the eShop. You were told from the beginning that the NES games would get released to everyone and GBA games were just "not planned". All Ambassador means is "We are giving you these games at no extra cost, and we're giving you them earlier than everyone else". It doesn't mean "LOL EXCLUSIVE GAMES".
