It's not uncommon for GameStop to get in software earlier than hardware. I remember picking up my PS Vita games a couple weeks before the portable was out. Looks like the same might happen with Wii U. Here's all the titles GameStop has listed for Nov. 13th release.
ZombiU
Assassin's Creed III
Sports Connection
Just Dance 4
Madden NFL 2013
Rabbids Land
Skylander's Giants Starter Pack
FIFA Soccer 13
Transformers Prime: The Game
Ben 10 Omniverse: The Video Game
Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game
Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013
You can pick up the games and...stare at the boxes until console launch! Thanks to Brandon for the heads up.

That sure would be funny!
I saw that but I don't get the point.
They want you to suffer when you have loads of Wii-U games you wanna play, but you can't. *evil laughter in the background*
Interesting lol why would they do that? I guess to cut down on the madness on midnight release.
If the games are ready to ship. it makes no sense to let them sit in a warehouse.
Warehouse space costs money - both realistically and theoretically - the more movement a product has, the better it looks internally to the distribution channels. To use one of those recent rumors as an example - if Amazon had issues selling 3DS back when it launched and have issues with Nintendo, its cause having those systems sit around was not profitable for them.
Anyways, I welcome games prior to launch - pretty sure I had Twilight Princess before I actually got my Wii (but that was only due to the great Wii drought) and I sure as hell drooled for days.
Doesn't Black Ops 2 come out on the other systems on Nov 13? Shame it won't for Wii U
@JustinJ
I was in a very similar situation. I had Twilight Princess for I think close to a year before I finally got my hands on a Wii. I'm definitely not gonna let a situation like that happen with the Wii U and whatever games I get for it.
Some 3DS launch games came out before the system did too. I had The Sims 3 for 3DS sitting on my shelf for at least a week before I was able to pick up my system, and I also received Madden and Ridge Racer 3D in the mail from GameFly 3 or 4 days before 3DS' official launch as well.
edit: And no, I'm not joking. The 3DS launch was so pathetic that The Sims 3 really was my launch game of choice.
