The following info comes from Reggie's GT.TV interview...
- Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 2 worldwide
- Wii U platform exclusive reconfirmed
- big-name first party titles in development
- Miyamoto and the team at EAD are working on 'fantastic projects'
- Retro is working on a 'fantastic project'
- most likely hear about these projects during E3
- depends on the progress of the games
- we may hear about those projects a little bit earlier/later than E3
- Reggie says 'we're serious about online and driving online'

BREAKING NEWS: NINTENDO AND RETRO ARE MAKING GAMES
RETRO... PLEASE... Let it be Star Fox...
I kinda want Retro to be working on Battalion Wars U.
@matthwq
:-O
What even is EAD now?
They haven't done anything with Starfox since 64, and F-Zero was done by Sega last time.
Did they do anything other than those two and Mario and Zelda?
Do they even still do Mario and Zelda?
Aren't there special teams dedicated to their own respective franchises these days?
AKA, Mario Team, and Zelda Team, and the second and third parties that handle everything else?
Makes sense.
No EAD is one massive team that is divided into the sub groups like Mario Team and the Zelda Team. EAD's currently working on Pikmin 3, NintendoLand, NSMBU, Zelda 3DS, and WiiFit U.
The last EAD Product to hit shelves was Skyward Sword.
I'm going to take a stab in the dark here:
EAD is working on...
- 3D Mario
- Mario Kart
Retro is working on...
- Metroid
Only if it has oriental dragons and demons
Ridley is kind of a dragon/demon, huh?
Yes... But, he is european
Judging by gaf reactions, a lot of people found Bayonetta 2 as a megaton, so I bet they're saving anything else big for way later.
"Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 2 worldwide"
Thank you so much Nintendo and Platinum!
With Nintendo and Platinum Games working closely together, I wonder what the chances are of seeing a MadWorld sequel on Wii, because I would love to see it happen.
gaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh I want to know what Retro is working on soooooooo badly.
So...we really shouldn't get our hopes up for next year's E3 either, then?
It is the most reasonable thing to do. But Retro's was almost going to be shown at this years E3, so next year should be a given for that one. Also there is nothing announced for WiiU after march except Injustice and PCARS so they have to announce something.
I actually DON'T want Retro's new game to be Metroid related. If it is then I'm sure I will be hyped anyway, but really I want it to be something else. They worked on nothing but Metroid for a good part of the last decade, and finally got a break by working on Donkey Kong and Mario Kart, and I'd like to see them stretch their creative prowess beyond Metroid some more and work on either a different franchise or a new IP.
Your avatar is hard.
On topic though, I'm still waiting for something to solidify an early purchase.
I'm going to say naso murusame. Just a shot in the dark but I imagine it could have dragons, oriental art style, and hand drawn textures which will be part of the game apparently
Edit: shikimaru has his own attraction in Nintendo land. It would make sense
Also, it would kind of match up with this
I just hope we get some kind of new F-Zero game within the next five years, I don't particularly care who makes it.
One of those better be a new F Zero, the other one better be a new Star Fox. Reggis said they were serious about "driving online".
OH MAN nintendo is really driving that online play with the 4 player Online Co-op of NSMBU... and the online functionality of Nintendo Land... OH WAIT... I'm just saying reggie... how can you be the Driving force in your online service if none of your launch games have online play? ...
NOW... ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? ... If nintendo really wants to drive online... they should Update the VC emulator so that people can Host online multiplayer from their console... YES YOU HEARD RIGHT...
Load up the Virtual Console Channel (multi task and send a quick message to your buddy, "Hey wanna play Mario World?") You host a lobby, and Invite him off your friends list from within the Virtual console Channel... he connects and voice chat begins... "Yeah lets play Mario World" you hear over your awesome headset... scroll through the list of VC games you have bought over the last 6 years... "I've waited a long time for this" you say as you push A ...
The Nintendo logo appears with the coin noise...
I'm really hyped with these news.
You forgot to add the bullet point of where Reggie decked Geoff "stupid smirk" Keighley right in the face at the end of the interview and said, "later b!tcha$$ mark" and then threw up a bunch of Benjamins in the air, laughed and walked a way.
Wait, that didn't actually happen? Oh, I guess that was just what I was hoping after about the 30th little smirk from Geoff during the course of the lampooning...I mean interview.
