Shoppers can purchase both packaged games as usual at retail locations nationwide. Or they can simply purchase and download the game on their own from the Nintendo eShop using a wireless broadband connection. Regardless of the purchasing method, both Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! and Crosswords Plus sell at a suggested retail price of $29.99 each. Also, Club Nintendo members who purchase either of these games through the Nintendo eShop and register them before Jan. 6, 2013, will receive a download code for the Donkey Kong: Original Edition game for free. This is a special version of Donkey Kong with content never before seen in the U.S. and is not available for purchase.
A little extra incentive for Club Nintendo members to pick up these games via eShop. Thanks to KyoRyu for the heads up!

Well its cool you don't have to buy both. I was intending on getting either one eventually. Especially Art Academy. And these games I feel are better suited for me digitally since they'll be played more sporadic.
Hopefully I download one before January!
the Content never before seen in the US is just one extra Pie Factory themed level, that isn't in the NES port.
Donkey Kong 64 disagrees with Nintendo's assertion.
Cool...was going to get Art Academy digital download anyways...now get my fav Nintendo game, complete with missing level....awesome!
I'd rather purchase Freakyforms Deluxe......
Oh my god, Crosswords Plus is a $30 game? Really now?
just bought Art Academy. I didn't know about this
Here's a thought why not release DK: Original Edition for download
No gimmicks
Actually you can also buy Paper Mario: Sticker Shock, the new Professor Layton and Miracle Mask, or the new Style Savvyâ„¢: Trendsetters from the eShop to get this game too
They probably will after the promotion ends.
It's technically true though. Pie level in the NES version IS never before seen in the US.
