Might not buy this game because they aren't offering the Collector's Edition on Wii U.
This will be on Wii U too?
@ChozoBoy
What does the Collector's Edition offer? Haven't been following.
"Three bonus (New 52) costumes for Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, a digital download code for the animated flick Justice League: Doom, and a special edition of an unannounced DC Comic series."
Also, this 13" statue or this one for Europe. The price for the CE is $99, another $40.
My two cents on costumes: They should have worked something out with Rocksteady to get some of each others' costumes in the other's upcoming game for the Bat-family cast. (BM, NW, HQ, and SG.)
Meh. I'll wait when it's all available as regular DLC. Not gonna deal with that BS like Arkam city pulled.
So far, at least this is only one store with three costumes. AC's initial release had several stores with one costume each. That was BS to the tenth power and I'm glad that the people who waited for it on Wii U don't have to deal with that or buying DLC since 100% of it is included.
Moral of the story: Don't buy Rocksteady games at launch.
With Mortal Kombat (9) each store had a exclusive retro character skin. I wouldn't surprise me if they pull the same here only with different comic arcs. Within the same year they released the game all the DLC, and the formerly retail exclusive costumes in a $40 Pack. So As much as I want this game I'm going to wait. Also I think it's odd that Solomon Grundy gets a Red Son skin when he wasn't even in the arc. Batman and Green Lantern where however...
I'm expecting both a "Darkest Night" and a "Brightest Day" DLC Packs.
My dream character for this game is Gorilla Grodd.
Also does that image of the collectors edition confirm Robin, Manhunter, and Green Lantern(s)?
Yeah, I'm just saying "So far, so good," even if this seems to be a sign that they are likely going down a dark road.
If NetherRealm Studios did it with MK, then I'm sure I:GAU will get the same treatment from them. Between no CE for Wii U and (possibly) split-up DLC between retailers, it seems like the smart decision is to wait for a second edition of the game later next year.
