Behold gamers, the power of Super Metroid! A classic, well engineered game that is appreciated by gamers today. You'll never see this type of adoration from a game like Other M.

Actually, I enjoyed MOM and would do something for it as well if I had a good idea that fit the game. Super Metroid was just the best choice for this project when I started the CosPIX series and I wanted (and was able to, because of the good options available) to stick with it for a trilogy. Zero Mission could have worked about as well, but I opted for Super's Torizo at the start.
MOM isn't perfect, but it is a fresh take on the series in terms or presentation, controls, and gameplay. Super isn't perfect either. I find it to be the easiest of the series, I don't appreciate the run button, and the item switching becomes less intuitive as the game rounds out.
