BestBuy.ca lists Rayman Orgins 3DS release date

Best Buy's website is listing a release date for the 3DS version of Rayman Origins. According to the site, the game will hit store shelves on November 6th, 2012. Let's hope that the game will finally be released before the year's end.

Thanks to Marcel for the tip!

...really? It's a bad port and it took about a year to come to the 3DS?

I don't want to be "that guy", but Amazon listed the release as November 6 as early as this July.

Wow, its been out in Europe and Australia for the past few months, since March I think? It's a lazy port, didn't do the game and the art style justice.

I know it's on two different systems... but seeing one game, and then it's sequel come out the same time seems pointless. That would be like a Super Mario Sunshine port and Super Mario Galaxy coming out in the same month.

As someone said, the game is already out in Europe and is still as bad of a port as the demo indicates. I can't think of any reason why the game was delayed for the US unless they wanted people to forget how bad the demo is (the demo was actually removed from the eshop). I seriously doubt there's going to be any improvements either but we'll see. As it stands, it has numerous cutbacks in the visuals (it actually looks like it's running well under the 3DS' already low resolution AND there's not as many enemies onscreen) and runs at half the framerate of any other version of the game. It's quite ridiculous, but what can you expect from a Ubisoft 3DS game anyways (the people who apparently can't even be bothered to properly port an ancient Dreamcast game to 3DS without glitching it up).

At least it's not the worst port ever though, gameplay wise it's still intact. And the core visuals are still somewhat there besides being very low res. This game definitely deserves to be played on a huge screen in 1080p anyways.

The demo left a bad taste in my mouth, so I just decided to skip it and got the 360 version. Maybe if it's good I'll pick it up on the cheap..... Mayyyyybe

I almost forgot that this game hasn't even been released for the 3DS yet.

What the heck is taking them so long?

I would love to hear Ubisoft's reasoning behind this...
